Hi everyone,
I'm new to this forum and this is my first post here. Like all of you, I'm planning on documenting my weight loss journey. I thought I'd start out by giving you guys a short intro.
I'm female, 20 years old, and a full-time college student. I'm 5'7" and 150 lbs, which isn't medically overweight, but I have a high body fat percentage and literally *no* muscle (seriously... I can barely chest press 30 pounds).
One of my biggest downfalls is probably that I LOVE to cook... French, Italian, Asian food, you name it. I am always making incredible meals (and desserts, and pastries!) for myself and my family, and we always have leftovers stored in the fridge which I snack on throughout the day.
Now that I'm back in the dorms, I won't be around all that food all the time, and won't have access to a kitchen, so I figure that it's a perfect time for me to try to lose weight! College food isn't exactly as tempting as the stuff that I make myself.
Anyways, my short-term goal is to lose 2 lbs by next saturday (10 days from now), and my long-term goal is to lose 20 lbs overall (I set these goals for the sole purpose of quantifying it; what really matters is that I'm healthier and feel more comfortable!).
I'm also looking for a weight loss buddy to talk to on yahoo or AIM; PM me if you're interested.
