Alright P! I've created this diary to continue to share our weightloss journey. After our conversation the other day, it was startling to learn we've been working on the same 25-30 lbs for the last 11 years. Seriously, we couldn't lose just two-three lbs a year to reach our goal?! At any rate, we're here now, more focused than ever.

I'm good on the eating part! And, quite frankly, I enjoy working out. My greatest problem is actually getting out of bed to make it to the gym. Once I get there I'm fine. Oh, I guess the cardio thing is a drag too. I've gotta kick that up a notch. Anyway, I've worked out twice this week. I'm hoping to increase intensity and frequency immediately.

Please pray for me!

YAY! :hurray: I'm so glad you started your diary! And you are right... we have been talking about losing this weight since '97 girl! That's ridiculous! So now's the time... within 5 months, we will be skinny chics!

Hey girl! Where ya at? Update me on how you did this week! Did you buy those motivation jeans like you'd talked about? How much exercise did you get in? Diet... good, okay, bad? It's TIME to get this weight off! We're not getting any younger lol!

Okay! I did it and it wasn't pretty! I got up earlier and worked out this morning. You're right, I do feel better having it out of the way. Too bad we didn't just have to work out once to get the results we want. I'm very proud of you P for being so faithful to the exercise. You truly are my inspiration. I saw you for the Jazz dancer auditions. Your body was sick - pure perfection. If anyone can drop the lbs, it's you. Keep it going! You're doing great! Well, I'm off to eat some delicious egg whites ... have a good one.:waving:

I agree on the working out once thing.... of course then a nice body wouldn't be that big of a deal... nothing earned, nothing gained. ;)

Ahh thanks! That was a long time ago... hopefully I can get that body back! And I remember when you were dancing, you were SLAMMED too! EVERYONE was talking about ya! Those were the days lol! Let's bring 'em back! WE GOT THIS GIRL... 25 EASY pounds!!!!

Okay, here are the things I promised you...

DIET

WORKOUT
Total Body 3 days a week (Mon-Wed-Fri)

Glutes/Inner Thighs 2-3 times a week (Tues-Thurs-Sat) (I'm just doing inner thighs because I hate mine lol. You could do just glutes or incorporate a "weak" body part of your own)

CARDIO
30 minutes twice a day Monday through Friday; once on Saturday

Now, of course, you don't have to do any of this but you are welcome to do all of it! I'm just showing you what MY plan of attack is! ;)

Oh, I almost forgot. I'm also using a pedometer again. Going back over my old diary pages, I realized that when I was using one in the past, the weight was coming off easy. SO... no less than 10,000 steps a day. Here is a comparison chart for "step equivalents of exercises not counted by pedometers".

I'm walking wounded today. My workout this morning already has me sore - YES!

Paula, I'm going to try to jump on your bandwagon with some modifications, but I'm in it with you. Starting this while on vacay has proven difficult. But oh well ... no pain, no gain.

Also, I've gotta dig out my pedometer too. I'm sure I don't walk as much as I hope. Okay, off to eat something nice and healthy for breakfast...

So... I am here to update Optimist's diary for her... lol

We both agreed to workout 3 times this week... baby steps. I'm still trying to get Miss O in here herself lol...

Chica! Get in here and record your feelings, workouts, and diet... I'm not giving up on getting you in here... besides, then you can visit my diary and help keep me motivated too! We have abs to show of this summer! And New's Years Resolutions to make OTHER than weight loss so get your a** in here!!! Love ya! :D
 
Yeah so this is ummm... Optimist7 speaking through Paulab_5 ;)... just wanted to update ya'll on my workout today. So far I have trained 2 times this week. YAY!!! Paula and I promised each other 3 workouts this week so I only have one more to go... baby steps is what we're working on here! Yay for me! :hurray: I'll be back tomorrow to update... hopefully I will be speaking on my own though! ;)
