So let me introduce my self. Born latvian, living in Ireland. Great job, good career, fantastic friends, but not great health and body which if fixable when you determined to do so.
And i'm now, sick of not being able to fit in close you like, have troubles sleeping, troubles concentrating and remembering stuff, feeling lazy, spending most of the spare time sitting at home in fromt of tv instead of travelling or else.
there plenty more reasons why i finally decided to loose weight, and this time i'm definately gonna do this.

Hopefully i'll be posting my in between pretty soon...

And thanks for this wonderful forum:) Its easier together!!!!:)

Ah thanks a lot maleficent,

Second pic was taken back in Latvia, not far from my town. Every summer i go back to my country to see my parents and relatives for a couple weeks. i live on my own in Ireland:)

You look great! So how are you planning on starting this lifestyle change?

Oh yea, and welcome to the forum. :)

Thanks Steve,
Well first of all i started reading this very good book by Tom Venuto "Burn the fat feed the muscle" there few things he is talking about i would never thought about as important.
i have counted my calorie intake before - 2000 cal, so i'm reducing it to 1500 - 1600. Eating clean 90% at least. Drinking water about 2 lt a day, which i actually always did, cos i don't like fizzy drinks or even juices for some reasons. And gave up alcohol all together, because after few drinks even with no harm to my dayly calorie intake, i would empty my fridge, i don't need that
Became gym member, and go there 3-4 times a week i split my exercises in 30 min cardio and 30 min free weights.
Spend some time here chatting, which gives me some great motivation:)

Tom's actually a friend of mine and that book is a great starting place for pretty much anyone. Very well written as he covers a lot of the nitty gritty stuff, yet, puts it in a way that's easily understood.

Absolutely agreed, even though i just started it, but i got few tips from there already which are very usefull, and it is easy to understand and read:)
I would recoment it to anyone:)

You sound so much like me. Too tired, too lazy, but not any more. RIGHT!?! Got a treadmill for at the house so now there are no more excuses. Sounds like you're off on the right path. Just keep looking to the future of the new you and before you know it you'll be looking back at the old you. GOOD LUCK !
