One More Time...

Alrighty....drumrolll please...

243!!! I even saw 242, but it popped up to 243. Ah oh well. My mom is still game, and she's only 3 lbs behind me at 246. The only bad thing is she has a bum knee, so she cant work out like I can, but just her cutting her foods back she's lost 30 some pounds. Its awesome. We're going to put prizes down on a piece of paper. If I win, she will take me to the Bony Pony, and local nice tack store, and I get to spend about 100 bucks, if she wins, I buy her a massage, and her Wii Resort that she's wanted for a while. :) Should be fun.

Anywho, went to the fair, and didnt touch anything. No strawberry shortcake, no burgers, corn on the cob, NOTHING. And it all smelled so good. ;)

Hope everyone has (or had) a great weekend!

You avoided fair food? AMAZING! I'm going to a fair next Saturday and I am already thinking of the delicious food I will eat, haha. Maybe I'll re-read your diary before heading out that day :)

Just got back from a run with my dad and sister. It was nice having Danielle there to keep me going at a much faster pace than normal. I ran 2 miles today, and walked half a mile as well. The first mile was a LOT faster than I normally do, so I had to stop, walk a lap, then I ran again. And both times, I increased the speed of the final lap, and sprinted the last few meters. God, when I was on my last running lap I felt like I was going to fall, BUT I kept going and pushed through it. It felt refreshing after I stopped thinking I was going to die right there on the spot. lol

Anyway, I'm off to the barn (or stable :p) to go feed some ponies, and maybe play with the mini. I'm currently teaching him how to ground drive, and my goal is to be able to hook him to a cart. :) We'll see.

Hey xorie! Awesome job on pushing through the run! It's always motivational to read entries like that :)

I'll keep you in mind when I run my first day couch to 5k today lol

OMG Jacqui I'm sooooo proud of ya. Well done, you must be delighted with your weight loss. How much is that now altogether, a fair whack. You must be feeling absolutely fantastic. AND you didn't eat anything at the Fair ..... please how did you do that. I was a complete & utter pig yesterday. It started off great, but flippin hell .... I got up and went for my usual walk yesterday morning, then came home and had fruit for breakfast .... then went out for 2 hour cycle with the hubby and came back and had small breakfast BUT THEN ..... OMG yesterday evening we had INDIAN and not only that, but i had the flipping chicken korma. I mean really Jacqui, how the hell am I gonna be down that 10lbs by Friday week if I keep this messin up. I'm glad i looked at your diary, cos now I'm gonna really get down to it. Now I mean I was good today to make up for it, but I'm just so annoyed with myself. Anways .... thats off the subject, how did your dressage saddle work out. it would be soo cool if you could hook him up to a cart, its completely different trying to manage a cart as oppose to actually riding the horse, good fun thou I woudl say. How is your singing going? Your doing fantastic with your running Jacqui, my god, I can't get going with that at all. I tried at lunch time today, but I only got a small distance before I had to take my inhaler. I'd love to be able to do it. I'm gonna keep trying though. Anyways, hunni hope you had a great day today and keep up your good work, your doing fantastic. Tell your mom we're all routing for her too, its nice to have a little help & encouragement. See ya hunni

Thanks. :) I'm trying to gear up to doing a 5k, then up to a 10k. My uncle does triathalons, so its in the blood. lol. I just have to get there. :)

God having 16lbs off feels great. My knees already feel better. :) I read somewhere that every pound you lose, is something like 20lbs of pressure off of you knees... wow thats a lot.

The dressage saddle. God, I make myself sit in halfseat for as long as I can, then I do it without stirrups. I can barely walk today. lol. And Fred (the mini) is doing really well with ground driving. I just have to find a cart and harness.

My singing group, Grace Notes, raised about $1000 for an ESL class through a church. The people were fantastic, and we all had a great time.

And the running, it feels good. Sometimes I get a giant stitch in my side, but if I walk a bit, it goes away. :)

Dont worry too much about "bad days" We'll all have some, and if we can just move past it and get back into our routines, we'll all be fine. And I know you'll be fine for your weigh in, you're doing a ton of awesome work. :)

Anywho, didn't get on the scale today, I'm going to try and keep myself from weighing in everyday. I still want to do it more than 1 time a week, but maybe every two or three days, just to keep my head in the game, but only enough so that I dont become obsessed with the scale. Gonna go to the fabric store soon, I'm starting to make all the blankets that I'm making people for christmas now. I just finished one today for a friend who is a breast cancer survivor, and owns horses. She gets a fleece blanket with the breast cancer ribbons on one side, and pink horses on the other. ;) There is a big sale going on right now, so I'm going to grab the material now so that I dont spend more on it later. Should be fun. :D

Was good for breakfast. Had a small bowl of honey nut cherrios with a banana and skim milk for breakfast. Was actually almost overful,so now next time I think I will just have 2/3 of a banana rather than a whole one. I'm about to go have lunch, and I'm thinking a turkey sandwich sounds yummy. :)

Xcellent Jacqui, thats a whole pile of weight youve lost girlie well done. If I had a scales in my house I would probably be weighing myself morning & evening every day, hence I don't have a scales and I have to weight for another two weeks, its driving me mad, but I supposre when I do step on the scales, hopefully it will be a big loss (fingers crossed hee hee).

Your really working hard at the horse riding fair play to you. You sound like your having serious fun doing it too. Its hard to imagine not riding isn't it. I actually live for it. At this time of the year, I can only ride twice a week because its so dark, I have to go up to the stables and I actually take lessons for the winter just to keep up the exercise. I can ride on the weekend, but we have so much to do, sometimes I don't get much of a chance.

The blanket presents sound great, very original present. Its a lovely idea to give someone something you made rather than bought. Your doing great with the singing, Grace Notes, thats a cool name for a choir.

Keep u pthe good work Jacqui your doing fantastic. Talk soon Maddie xx

Ok, just a quick update, then off to choir.

So no scale yesterday, means I can weigh myself today...

242. Woot!

Ok, well just had to get that out, and I'll write more later I promise.

An elephant ear is like a thin sweet tortilla with smothered with butter and cinnamon, and sugar all over it. Basically a big fat heart attack that tastes good. lol

And thanks for the support, I honestly dont think I would be doing as well without all the support I get from people on this website!

Haha wow that does totally sound like a heart attack wrapped up in flour! Haha. Sounds good!!

No problem at all, you really deserve the support as you're doing so well!! That's really impressive reading about how far you're going running - I really need to get into running! I just find it toooo uncomfortable in the chest area haha.

Keep up the good work!

Oh goodness, I know what you mean. Its hard to run well when you have 20lbs of boob hanging off of your chest. I run with a support bra, then a sport bra over that, then a camisol with the built in support thingy over that too. When I played volleyball, I used to wear 3 bras. One support, and 2 sport.

So I am creeping up on 20lbs lost. As of this morning I was 241... Saw 240, but then it went to 241. Maybe tomorrow? lol Anywho, I'm so close to the 230's I can smell them. lol. I was super good today, and I had a turkey sandwich, and a bowl of soup for dinner, I had an apple at lunch, and a piece of zucchini bread for breakfast. AND I was working all day, cleaning stalls, cleaning the arena, bucking hay, sweeping the barn, grooming horses, giving haircuts to the ponies, dealing with an obnoxious 2 year old arab, and then scrubbing water troughs...

I got home and was super exhausted. lol.

Anyway, am hoping to see 240 tomorrow. wish me luck! Maybe even 239! lol.

That's awesome! Sounds like you're eating really well. My fingers are crossed for you to hit the 30's real soon ;)

Keep up the hard work :)

DUN DUN DAAAAAN!!!!

240!!!! Woot woot!!! Now I wont weigh myself until Sunday, but man, that 239 is right there. I mean, RIGHT THERE....!!!

BUT I'll take 240 anyday. :)

Anyway, going to be super good today as well, and then am going riding tonight. Am hoping Leah brought the saddle back, but if she didn't oh well.. :)

LOL I double or triple bra for running too...or I'd end up with black eyes!! Only problem is, I'm still wearing the same sports bras as 20 lbs ago so need to buy some smaller ones. Why on earth don't companies make PROPER sports bras for big busted women?? Like real "hold you in place" stuff?

Anyhow, well done on the 20lbs (or the 19....I'm sure it will be 20 next weigh in!) - real achievement and I bet you can really start seeing the different - that in itself is all the motivation for the next step.

Almost 20 lb! That's amazing! Good luck with the weigh in tomorrow!

Laele

Thanks. I'm going to weigh in Sunday. I'm trying to not become obsessed with the scale. :)

I know what you mean! I have to buy smaller one and wear them over my regular support bra. But oh well. :) Seeing a difference, not so much, but I can feel one. I feel better about my body, and my confidence is much higher than normal. I'm hoping for 20 tomorrow when I step on the scale, but we'll see. I'm trying to drink a lot of water today, because I had a bit of salt yesterday, so I'm hopeful. I'm going running today too at some point. hoping it stops raining, but this is the pacific north-wet, so I'll probably be running in the rain. Oh joy. lol

Yaaaay!!!! You're just about in the 30's!!!! Awesome job girl!

Thanks!! I cant wait to get there!!!

Anyway I brought my mom up to the barn last night, and I got her riding! She always would think she was too heavy for the horses, but Lilly is a BIG thick girl, and I ride her no problem, and since my mom is only a few pounds heavier than me, I didn't see a problem. She actually was able to get the confidence to go around the arena without me by Lily's head. AND we trotted for about 3 yards. She's never done that before. I told her that when she drops another 40lbs (that is when we'll both be under 200) we can go for a trail ride somewhere. I think she's looking foreward to that. It should be fun. :)

Anyway, hope you all have a good day!

You run in the rain? That's dedication! Can't say I've done that yet! One of these days one of my 5Ks is going to be on a rainy day but I'm hoping that doesn't happen for a LOOOOOOONG time, haha.

its always raining here. if im not willing to run in the rain, well then I'd never run... lol

Anyway, over the weekend = me not so good... I ended up eating some crap, and too much of it, BUT oh well, I've been super good today. :) go me. :)

About to head off to work, and havent had any cravings today. Thank god. I've also been drinking tons of water today, as my food over the weekend was super high in salt.

I found out that my grandmother is coming to town on the 18 of November. That gives me a little over a month to drop another 15 or so lbs. I really want to do it and that is the next time I'll see my sister. I really really really want to drop at least 15lbs by thanksgiving, then another 15 by christmas, which would make a total of 50lbs by christmas... holy crap, when I break it down into smaller numbers, it really doesnt seem that much, but added altogether, 50 is a lot! I hope I can do it! No. Scratch that... I KNOW I can do it.

Of course you can do it your doing so brilliantly already. It will be great when you see your grandmother. She will be amazed at the difference in you. Sometimes we don't see it ourselves, but when someone who hasn't seen you in a while, sees you, then see such a big difference and it will be such a boost to your motivation. Your doing so fantastic Jacqui well done and keep up the fantastic work. Your certaintly motivating me anyway so thanks a million for that. Hope you have a great day Maddie :waving:
