One last time...

Today was a family birthday BBQ for my dad. Was tough with all the tempting food around. But stuck to my calorie limit.

Piece of Toast with peanut butter

Hamburger
Small Corn muffin

Smart Ones rice entree

Source yogurt and museli

3 chicken thighs w pesto sauce
Asparagus
1/2 cup Squash

Workout
1 hr Bootcamp
 
Am sick today. Headache, earache, throat sore, cough, etc. Had to go in to the office for an all day meeting. Yuck!

Did not workout. Took some medicine and crawled into bed after dinner.

Stuck to my calories today.

2 skinless chicken thighs with pesto
Sweet potato

I skipped my workout yesterday. I hate skipping it but am sick. Went to doctor today, found out I have bronccitis. Went to bootcamp tonight because I dont want to miss another day.

Fat free yogurt
1/2 small apple

Lunch
Stir fried veggies and chicken over 1/2 cup brown rice

Snack
Aero chunky bar
1/2 cup cottage cheese

Dinner
Chicken on a kaiser
Garden salad
 
I feel like I'm slipping a bit. Haven't been able to work out as much because of this stupid bronchitis. Plus it's that time of the month where I'm hungry all the time and craving bad carbs.

Funny enough I WANT to workout more! I enjoy it. I feel like I'm wasting my time not exercising. I have a 5K race on Sunday. I'm going to do horribly!! Everytime I do cardio I can't stop coughing. Uuuggghhh just feel frustrated today.

Thanks caiman! Just have a bad cough now. I don't anticipate Sundays run going well at all but am going to give it my best shot and still try to meet my goal of finishing without stopping. We'll see.
 
I have fallen off the wagon. Not totally but a few days this week I've gone over my calorie limit up to around 2200 :( I had fries twice this week. Not good. I even had a couple spoonfulls of nutella.

I've been sick and not able to work out as much. When I work out I want to eat healthy, when I don't work out, I want to eat bad carbs and comfort food.

Monday I am getting back on the wagon whether or not I'm 100% better. The scale either doesn't move or moves up if I don't work out regardless of how healthy I eat. Too many years of yo-yo'ing I guess. So I have catching up to do.

This is totally me too! It's so frustrating. Nothing we can do but keep pushing forward and not straying for too long - or else it's like starting over from scratch! Get lots of rest this weekend and keep your water up!!
You've come so far...there's no going back now!! have a good weekend.
 
Did you have your run today? If so, how did it go? It stinks that you were/are sick! Make sure you're taking care of yourself! If you can't do an intense workout maybe try something like walking at an incline. That'll definitely burn some calories but will be easier on your lungs.

Hi Jesais. You had a very good idea on how to lose weight effectively as well as eating healthy. I'm also into dieting these days because of the eat stop eat of thanksgiving. Don't give up okay and do your best to get back in being healthy.
 
Hey everyone. I'm back!! Been sick and thus not into the whole dieting/eating healthy. But i've survived...had a few slips and only been attending my 2 days of bootcamp/week, no other workouts.

I still have a bad cough and don't feel 100% but am determined to stick to my workout schedule/calorie limit this week.

I weighed myself and am down to 150, officially 15 pounds down...35 to go.

This morning I got up at 5am (yuck) to attend a spinning class before work. I also did my bootcamp tonight.

Laura: tried the incline walk a couple times instead of a full out jog. Man! What a workout! Good call! Also I didn't get to do my run as I was pretty much in bed with broncitis the whole weekend. Total bummer.

Aww, that stinks you were sick for the race! You were so excited when you told me about it. But much better to keep yourself healthy! Glad the incline walking was good, it works your muscles in a totally different way than a flat surface and will get you sweaty even without running. Awesome job sticking with your desire to eat right and workout even while sick! It's great that you were still going to bootcamp, keeping on that regular schedule will prevent you from getting out of the habit. Basically, you're doing super, keep it up!
