On your Ipod?

I need some new reccomendations for mine. I want to know the songs that get you through those times you don't feel you can do one more squat or squeeze out one more rep and it SAVES you from being a loser and a quitter like the rest of the Jamba Juice( Insert beverage choice of the ignorant of your region here) drinking resolutioners.

Help. I need you. I feel ready to join the rank of the great mediocre today. Going to gym now with my old stuff but when I come back i hope someone gives me inspiring tunes that will get me through my double day of hell tomorrow AM/PM. Thanks in advance.

Let's see...this is what I listened to today..

-30 Seconds to Mars
-Breaking Benjamin
-Avenged Sevenfold
-Disturbed
-InFlames
-Linkin'Park/JayZ Collision course tracks

But occasionally a song comes on in the middle of my lift like a love song and it just freakin' ruins the whole mood I had going on.

Good luck.

A love song? Hahah. That scary eye avatar would seem to forbid any love song listening in my book. I have an assortment of odd music... Elvis, Coldplay, Chris Brown, Lil Jon, TI, The Cheetah Girls, Britney Spears, Crime MOB...

My boyfriend has a bunch of super heavy "kill, kill, kill... and f off!" type speed metal and randomly a Lionel Ritchie or 70's pop song. Boys are strange. :)

Yeah boys are weird.

Anyways, I just posted a goodie on searching megaupload and rapidshare files on google on the random discussion forum. Just in case you need new music, just search and download it.

Say what? You can focus on music? I can barely catch my breath!!!

It's Breathe-breathe-breathe.. get in position... clear the head. checklist reminder of form... Visualize. ONE last strong inhale before starting the set... Then its just breathe... PUSH... Breathe, PUSH... (repeate)... then its back to begining of breathing again!!!.

(Wow lifting weight is like having a baby, you are squeezing out that bodyfat -- no "C" section here.)

After a few sets, I see / hear no one. In my little zone. I think I hear music but it's probably deliera from lack of food / air in the brain.

Btw, if you really want to try: google up what Michael Philpes listen to while he train for the olympic and during the competition; might be 6-9 months old but may still work.

I'm no expert on the subject Tic but I think that's a loose connection to having a baby. I have a feeling that it's probably a LOT more painful, dangerous and difficult to give birth than it is to do a weights session....

As to the topic, music doesn't do anything for me when I'm training. In the gym, on the bike or in the boat it doesn't seem to help me at all even when someone tells me 'this song is GUARANTEED to get you psyched up!'.

I've been listening to the Grey Album by DJ Dangermouse (JZ's Black played over the Beatles White ablum) a lot recently. I never listen to my MP3 player in the gym though, it just seems a bit too twatish

Linkin park :)

I listening to rap, rock, rnb when im in the gym. I prefer to listen to music when doing cardio rather than weights to pass the time.

I can live with being a twat. Anything to keep the conversational types at bay. WAY too much chatting going on in the man pit AKA weight room for my taste.

Thanks for those suggestions... DJ Dangermouse might be a good one for me...

Depends on my mood but usually:

AC/DC Black Ice Albubm
Paramore
Breaking Benjamin
Buckcherry
3 days grace
Nickelback
Saving Abel
Fall Out Boy
Hell Yeah
Dropkick Murphys

Now and then I'll throw in some old school Metallica

For me...its all about death/black metal. There is just something about listening to pissed off music during my workout that gets me pumped....if interested I would suggest:
Behemoth
Opeth
Immortal
Amon Amarth
Deeds Of Flesh
Emperor
Bathory
Gorgoroth

This kind of music is not for everyone....but its what works for me

The Black Eyed Peas are great. But if you are a guy, you may think otherwise....who knows. Guys always seem to dig the "i will cut your head off" type music.

Ah, people don't really talk to each other in my gym, we're British after all; the only people who listen to Ipods in our place are the cardio bunny girls and the mirror muscle guys doing their curls

I am both of these people rolled into one. Glad that the Brits aren't so chatty in the gym but you can't shut up most of the peeps in the US. If they ran their bodies as hard as their mouths, we'd all be Olympians. I swear.

Some songs that really get me pumped in the gym are

tech n9ne - einstein

static-x - push it

drowning pool - bodies

saliva - raise up & click click boom

diecast - sacrifice

powerman 5000 - when worlds collide

trapt - headstrong

But the ultimate song for motivation, atleast for me, is the theme song to the UFC which is -

stemm - face the pain

I like a little of everything:
Rage against the machine
Old Metallica
Saliva
AC/DC
Tool
Linkin Park
Korn
Perfect Circle
Chevelle
Old Staind

Anything with a fast, hard beat...

limp bizkit- ROLLLLIN
