On The Road To Regain Control

I had some fruit and my body was just like... "What the hell am I supossed to do with this?" Lol, "Give me chili and hotdogs!"

Chili Weenies haunt me day and night. I'm not sure how I fight it off, I just do..

Todays Progress

So today, I did pretty good compared to my normal eating habits. I didn't eat when I my tummy didn't say it was hungry, so for the first time in a while I'm not sitting here with a gut busting stomach ache. Absolutely marvelous.

My muscles are kind of sore from my workout today, but at least I know I got something out of it.

It's obvious this is going to take some time, but I'll get there. I've said it before and I'll say it again and again; I'm not giving up this time. Failure is not an option. I have got to get the weight off. NO if, ands, or buts about it. I know I'll be so happy in the end if I just stick with it. I wanna be healthy. I wanna be able to walk up the stairs without panting. I'm going to do this. I'm going to do this.

That's a real good attitude!!!

I was surprised too, at how many times I just ate, even though I wasn't hungry!!! It's nice to eat till your just full, you never feel weighed down or caca anymore!!!

Keep going!!! You're doing great!!! Failure ISN'T an option, because there are no failures, just rocks in the path to our goals.

cheering for you, Moon.

You're doing soo well! good job! And just tell your tummy that it's too bad that chilie dogs are bad for you, and to just take the fruit and figure out what to do with it! lol.

I really love your journal. It's a great one to follow! keep up the good work!

Thanks so much guys! I just get so excited when I read everyones comments. Hehe. It really does brighten my day, in the midst of this change of heart and lifestyle.

love ya.

Day Three

OKay...

So I had toast for breakfast with this butter substitute called "Mooove Over Butter" or something to that effect. It actually tastes pretty excellent. Yum. So anyways. I'm not too sure what type of physical activity I'll partake in today. Whether I'll being treadmilling again... or maybe some pilates.... we shall see. I started to go buy some clothes this morning but then I thought twice about that if I'm planning on losing weight. I should probably wait a bit longer. Maybe a week before school starts back.

Ta-ta.

good idea with the butter substitute, as long as you don't eat too much of it:D Not buying clothes is another good thing. My sister wanted to go to the mall and buy clothes, and I said, "Um, Dani? NO. I'm losing weight here." *grins* Keep it up! And have fun shopping before school starts!

That's the spirit !!

Mistakes will happen in dieting, don't ever view them as a failure when this occurs.

I think you're gonna do just fine here.

Well...

For lunch I had chili.... One of my biggest weaknesses. It was totally just sitting there tempting me and I, being me of course, gave in. It's not the worst thing in the world for me, but it looks pretty bad sitting next to the option of a salad.

That's okay though. It's not the end of life as we know it. I'll just eat a lighter dinner and all shall be well. On the flip side, tomorrow's a new day.

Help me, God.

Grocery Shopping

So I'm going to the store tonight to pick up some healthier food choices.

Maybe if I have more fruit and stuff like that in the kitchen I won't be so tempted to go for the bad stuff my parents insist on eating.

It's really hard when your the only one in household trying to make a change like this. I tell my mom fifteen times a day I'm dieting and she still asks me if I wanna big mac or a pizza, from the fast food places. It makes it so hard to resist. I'm like MOMMMY! Stop it!

I'm sure your mom is only doing that because she loves you... she's not deliberately trying to annoy you or tempt you. :D

Good for you for going shopping and getting what you can eat... that's the easiest way to avoid temptation -- to h ave stuff around that you can eat... maybe it'll give your parents some ideas too :)

Lol. Yea I know, she's just tryin to feed da baby. Hehe. She thinks I'm perfect the way I am, and I know it's nothing but out of love.

you're doing a great job so far altered image:D ...just keep reminding your mom and I personally feel so good when I say no to fast food...like i'm finally the one with the power and not the food...hehe....I went shopping on the weekend too and wanted to buy some clothes but I didn't because I really want to be able to buy pants that are atleast a size or two smaller from the ones that I wear right now. Keep up the great work and ignore the call of the fridge...it is out to get you...ruuunnn!!!

LOL! Thanks.

I know what your saying. Forever I felt like I had absolutly no control over anything in my life, especially when it came to eating. (We'll guess what mister fridge, I'm takin back the power.) It feels good to have a little bit of hand again.

well I finally got around to checking out your diary. well no one ever said I was fast lol. congrats on the weight loss so far.......

I know what you mean about being the only person in the family trying to change. My mom and I are battling, but the rest of the family can eat, (and do) whatever passes their fancy. From mac&cheese to a monster burrito with beans, rice, cheese, and sour cream and whatever meat they find. Good job at going to the store and picking good food. It's a big step to helping you ignore those little temptations....

especially when the chili is like, "eat me! eat me!" :D

I GOT RICE CAKES! OMG! There so good. This should help when I'm craving something naughty. Haven't had dinner yet. Need to squeeze it in atleast before seven o'clock. Imma have something light due to my chili binge earlier.

Lata.

Hi Jen. Your mom reminds me of my husband. He will suggest casually if I want a Dairy Queen Ice Cream. Of course I say no but my mind is say "I WANT IT NOW". That is the power of suggestion. He loves me the way I am and he is pretty supportive of me trying to get to a healthy weight but still thinks that I can have "junk" food once in a while.

I dont' think that I welcomed you to the forum. Anyways, Welcome Jen. Its good to have you hear and look forward to reading about your goals and accomplishments. Have a geat weekend.:D
