On The Road To Regain Control

Hey guys,

I'm obviously new to all this, but I'm not so new to the struggle and trial of weight loss. I'm to a point in my life where I'm tired of being unhealthy, out of shape, and overweight. On normal days this really effects my self concept. I wanna feel beautiful, and I wanna love my body. Hopefully with some support and motivation I'll regain some will power and a sense of self respect, and a healthy physical being as well. If you have any piece of advice, etc to contribute to my upcoming journey "on the road to regain control" - please comment.

Just about to die...

First off I just wanna say thanks. I apperciate your support.

So I just went on my walk:eek: , and I was almost certain I was going to have heart failure... I knew it would be hard, but good grief, I'm just going to have to be positive about it, even when it sucks.

I'M GLAD TO BE DIETING!
I'M GLAD TO BE EXERCISING!
I'M GLAD TO BE SWEATIN!

Hehe. Alittle bit of positive reinforcement never hurts. :p
 
Welcome Alteredimage! I feel the same way as you and I just realized too that I was tired of being tired and worried about my weight all the time. Congrats on the two pounds and i'm sure you'll reach your goal in no time :D
 
Thanks for the encouragement, lastchance. I'm totally tired of being overweight. There's no way I'm giving up this time.

Nice, T2. :). Welcome to the site, and I just know that you can do it. Getting your life back into control will make you feel SO much better in the long run. Believe me. I'm running now, and I'm really starting to feel my life turn around. For example, I just did a happy dance not 3 min ago, because the scale said that I was lighter.

Seriously though, your moods will improve, your attitude towards life and others, and just your general health will feel better. You will have more energy and it will make you just want to keep going! Good luck! I KNOW you can do it!

Just so you understand, I can think of more reasons to have a girl that can pull her own head off around the house than not.

oh, my "happy dances" range from just doing a little jig in the bathroom, to playing my favorite song (Me an My Gang by Rascal Flatts at the moment) and completely rocking out to it. as for a "usual happy dance" I just kinda throw my limbs around, laughing insanly....:D :p :D

So here we are in the midst of day number two.

Oh my goodness. I think I'm becoming insane. I can totally here the fridge, calling for me. All the little yummy things I may not have of course, are all the little yummy things I want.

Help me Jesus! Jesus help me!

Let me first say that I love your diary so far. I am new also and have recieved a lot of support from this sight and it worked in my first week I lost 3 pounds. *My frig calls me also, so what I did was put a self made weight loss graph on my frig. So before I even open it I am aware of my progress and have been less likely to mess it up. Well I hope that helped. Have a great day!!!!

Imma totally gonna do that. And I might even put like a picture of some skinny chick on there too, so I'll be like woa... if i eat the yummy things... I'll still be big... but I wanna be little like this here chick... so maybe I shouldn't. :cool:

good job! I too have a magic fridge that calls to me. My sister finally put a stop to it by placing a note right by the handle that says, "are you looking in here because you're bored?? There are other ones as well, and they keep me out of there.

Keep up the good work! And we'll both be little chicks by the time prom rolls around, and then we'll knock everyone's socks off! :D
 
Lol. Ahh yea, we're gonna be so hott.

Used the treadmill. It wasn't bad. Burned about two hundred calories. Yay for me! Had cheerios for breakfast and chicken noodle soup for lunch. Everythings seems to be going great. I haven't had any monster cravings today, so I'd say I'm in pretty good shape. I always feel so much better when i workout. I have so much more energy and I don't have as much of the tendency to crash and burn. Lol. This site is totally rockin my face off as well. I mean, the support I'm getting from all you guys is amazing. It really truely is helping.

I want something to eat. The thing is... I know my body's not really hungry, it's just my mind saying "I'm bored, what's in the kitchen?"

That's one of my main problems. Eating when I'm not hungry, pretty much just because it's there.

Hopefully this is something I can overcome.

I had some fruit and my body was just like... "What the hell am I supossed to do with this?" Lol, "Give me chili and hotdogs!"

I need to get on hanging that skinny chick on the fridge. I'll go hunt in some magizines.:D

Like eating when you are bored, doing the 'right' thing will also become a habit... it's great that you are aware that you weren't hungry and just bored.... that's a huge step in the right direction...
