On a Mission...

Hi my name is Kristy and I am once again on a mission to lose some weight. I have struggled with keeping a steady weight for a long time. I currently weigh in at 145 lbs and would love to be 130-135. I took my measurements tonight and they are as follows:

height:5'4

weight:145 lbs

waist: 34 inches

Hip: 42.5 inches

Bust: 39 inches

I really do not have any ideal body measurements, I just want to feel comfortable in my clothes again. I have gained about 10 lbs in the last few months and have noticed my clothes getting too tight. I use MyFitnessPal app on my iPhone to count my calories and keep track of my exercise and weight. I have lost the weight before but have had a hard time lately. I graduated college in May and started a new job in late September. I am starting to get myself on a schedule again and I am finally able to put myself first again.

I do have a membership to a 24 hour gym and have some exercise equipment at home, so I have to excuse to not work out. I have also been trying to buy healthier foods and cook more.

I have been reading a lot of the threads lately and looking at the before and after pictures and I am incredibly motivated by everyone on here. I am going to try to post daily but i know it will more than likely happen only a few times a week.

I can do this!!!!!

I have only done ok the last few days. I have worked out twice this week so far and plan on working out tomorrow. I am having trouble with over eating right now. This week has been kind of crazy for me with having to make some huge decisions. I have been stressed and when I am stressed I tend to eat....a lot.

I have decided I am going to set weekly goals and for next week I want to eat no more than 1500 calories on non-work-out days and no more than 1800 calories on work-out days. I also plan to try posting my daily food journal. I haven't posted it for the last few days because I am so embarrassed of how much I have been eating. I hope by posting what I eat daily and others being able to see, will help motivate me to eat better.

I am off to shower and bed. I hope everyone has a happy, fun, and safe new year's eve!!!!

Hi Kristy! Welcome to the forum!:) I hope you find this place as helpful as i did:) Goodluck in your future weightloss, cant wait to see your results:)xx

AThank you for the welcome irishprincess.

I know it has been some time since my post but I have been watching what I eat. I am not sure if I have lost any weight, I will be weighing in this weekend. I have not been working out due to a number of reasons (getting a teenie kitten and trying to get 2 Labradors and a giant cat to not eat her). I plan to try an App I downloaded to help me run a 5k which has always been a goal of mine.

I had been doing very well with eating but have been kind of bad this last few days. I ran out of healthy snacks and lunches :( I did pick some things up last night at the grocery store.

I have been using myfitnesspal religiously.  It has really kept me on track with eating and allows me to see when I am doing horribly.

My goals for the next week is to write in this journal at least 3 days and work out 3 days. Hopefully I can reach these goals as things have finally settled down at home with my mini zoo.

Welcome

Only 15 lbs to lose? That is soooo atainable! You can do that in just a few weeks! Do you have a more formal plan yet? Plans are good.

I look forward to seeing you reach your goal.

Brawny- Thank you for the warm welcome. I know 15 lbs is not a lot to lose but I am trying to change my lifestyle. I want to make eating healthy and exerising a daily routine so once I lose the weight I don't gain it back like usual.

I finally made it the gym tonight and it felt amazing. I did day 1, week 1 of the couch to 5K routine which was 30 minutes and then did 20 on the ellipcitcal. I ate way too much today but I will do better tomorrow, at least I burned some of it off at the gym

.

I plan to go to the gym tomorrow after work and try to eat better. I will try to update tomorrow.

If you get your exercise up you can get away with quite a bit of eating and still post weight loss. you are moving in the right direction.

You are on the train to healthytown! (I am on the train to skinnytown but I have further to ride)

Keep up the good work girl!

AI had a 3 day weekend which was nice except I think I had a very mild flu with being nauseous, extremely fatigued and a horrible migraine.

I managed to eat decently but did not get in a minute of exercise :( I now have the food part under control ,I just need to get motivated to start working out again. At one point I was at the gym 3-4 days a week for at least an hour at a time and I cannot find that motivation in me again. I have tried working out with others but it never works out. I have also tried exercise classes and they just aren't my thing. I do occasionally do exercise DVDs or my biggest loser wii game but I have had zero motivation lately. If anyone has any tips or suggestions I would love to hear them. Thanks!!!

Kristy, you can do this! Do you have a plan written out? Daily, weekly, long term goals. How about your work-outs and meals? The meals are extremely important. take a look at this video, it may give you some more direction.

I look forward to reading your progress :hurray:
