Lux! Of course your body looks different. But you've seen it change gradually, and haven't really noticed it. Just you wait, you will be getting tons of compliments at your Vietnamese new year's this weekend! Especially from people who haven't seen you in awhile. Plus, you'll start to notice strange things, like collarbones and your hipbones and stuff like that.

Congrats on the lotion!!! That's very exciting. And FREE! Also, I told my mom about you turning the car around from the tacos, and she laughed pretty hard, haha.

Go Team Sweet Cheeks! Let's get all our points so we don't get eliminated!! OMG this challenge is really motivating... who knew?
 
LUX!!!! So I'm at work with nothing to do and I just read through your diary---quite entertaining. First, I must comment that I love how you reward yourself with shopping--soooooooo much better than food. I totally agree though that you should maybe not reward yourself now with clothes, but rather ACCESSORIES! That way it'll fit you even when you keep dropping weight!

I had no idea you were so hardcore with the exercise. That is awesome. I just can't get myself to the gym everyday. I think I would burn out.

BTW.....I'm totally going to head over to Macy's after work--so excited to get that body lotion. I hope it's still there!!!!!!

Don't sweat it that you don't feel like you look diff. I bet you DO! The fact that the personal trainer noticed says enough. It's hard to notice changes in yourself because you look at yourself on a daily basis :).

Ok--maybe I'll do some work!!!!!
 
WOW! I took a nap today and I thought I'd wake up in an hour or two. MMM, WRONG! It's 8:30 now! On the bright side, since I was sleeping, I didn't eat. Haha. It just sucks because now my whole day is gone.

So I took out my contacts earlier when I first got home. I don't know WHAT I did but I lost the right contact! I had just washed my hands with soap and I guess since it was scented soap, it burnt my eye when I stuck my finger in. After that, I couldn't find the contact. I really think it's lodged somewhere in my right eye. AH! I'm going to my optometrist tomorrow so she can look and hopefully not have to go do surgery (AKA, poke at my eye) in order to get it out.

OK - Off to the gym!

Deanna - Thanks! Yeah - I think I'm just to used to seeing myself every single day that the changes are so subtle. :)

Lizzie - That's so funny you told your mom! I'm pretty sure if I told my mom that I was speeding to Taco Bell like a made woman she would just be like "UHH HEFFER." HAha, kidding. But really, I think my mom would be more concerned that I was speeding to find food. Haha. Storyyy of my life.

Keepitoff - I wish I could reward myself with food! I'm always thinking "MMM CHEESECAKE FACTORY. MMMM FOOD." Shopping is better! :) So a bunch of my friends who went today ended up texting me that a lot of the nicer stuff that was being given out was gone! Only a few of the cheaper stuff was left. I hope you were able to get something! :) WOO!

Haha poking around your eye = surgery?! Don't worry, they usually dislodge themselves pretty soon, so you probably won't need "surgery"! That is, if it is still actually in your eye :p lol
 
So I went to the Optometrist today. There's definitely no contact swimming around in my eye. She assured me that it probably just fell out somehow. WHAT A RELIEF! I seriously thought I was going to get an eye infection or something just as bad.

I went to Chili's for lunch today and had a HUGE SALAD worth 900 CALORIES. I gave away the quesadilla slices that came with the salad. I also substituted the ranch for the FAT FREE AND then asked them to not put cheese in my salad. I'm hoping that cut it down a bit. I know I'm not over on calories for the day yet but I'm just not going to eat the rest of the day.

My friend invited me out drinking with him this Saturday night. A part of me wants to go and another doesn't. I don't want to ruin all my hard work - but I know that I also give up a lot of my social life because of my dieting. Also, we're driving 1 car downtown to go drinking and then taking a cab back to his place. His plan is that I spend the night and the next morning when we're sober, we can drive to go pick up the car. HAHA. UHHH. This sounds like a booty call to me. I hope that's not what he's expecting because he's not getting any. Well, we'll see how drunk I am. Just kidding, just kidding. I always keep it classy.

That's basically it. Nothing new or exciting in my life.
 
I am the biggest dork. I HAVE to share this story with you guys! So I was doing some dumbbell dips in front of the mirror at the gym and I was like "WOAHHH I'm starting to get some muscles in my arm. I mean, YEAHHHH I can see something." Yeah, so I get closer to the mirror to look. What I thought was muscle was actually just my fake tan. When I lay in the tanning bed, the under side of my arm doesn't tan so it stays white, while the rest of my arm is gets darker. I guess the place where the 2 colors meet created an optical illusion that I had muscle. HAHA. I was seriously so excited until I realized what I thought was muscle was really only two different shades of skin.
 
Oooh, you went to Chili's again? SO LUCKY! haha. Great job getting rid of hundreds of calories! I know I probably couldn't give away the best parts: the quesadillas and cheese! Maybe you can just drink a little when you go out? Or none at all! That way you'll be sobered up if he wants to make any moves haha.

That story is so funny! You didn't actually say anything to anyone did you?! lol
 
Workout today was good! I did my normal cardio on the elliptical and then I attempted HIIT for the second time on the treadmill. I walked for a minute and then ran at 7.2 for 90ish seconds. I'm hoping once I get used to it, I can run in 2 minute intervals.

Food today was pretty good. Hit right at my 1300 calorie mark. I'm going out the rest of the weekend to two parties and then bar hopping so I'm hoping I can be good and stick to my food plan. Wish me luck!

I'll be taking lots of photos this weekend so keep an eye out!

IVETTE - Yeah we should DEFINITELY roller skate in the nude - because you know, running in the nude doesn't look crazy enough! :willy_nilly: I tired doing the 60 calories per drink thing last night. MMM. FAIL.
 
So I got my workout in yesterday but I went to a party afterwards. The food was SOOO YUMMY but I didn't eat too much. Everything was fine until I headed out to the bars with my friend. I was planning on just taking 3 shots max and then call it a night. Haha, that didn't work out too well. I ended up drinking a lot and some of the drinks were mixed so there were 9120380123 calories in them. I'm not stressing too hard because I work out daily and I'm so good about food intake - except for last night. I weighed myself this morning and I didn't really gain any weight so I'm GOOOOD to go!

Last night was SO FUN though! We hit up the first bar and ordered some vodka shots and then a SAKE BOMB. I beat him at drinking it the first time so I figured he was just going easy on me and I ordered the next round of Sake Bombs. YEAHH, I demolished him. I think I can credit my amazing drinking skills to all those nights I've spent at the fraternity houses. Haha. Seriously. I was just sad they didn't card me! At the second bar we went to, they TOTALLY IDed me for like 3 minutes. They kept staring at my license and then staring at me. I was like, "UHH DUDE. I'm 21." They even slid it through a machine that said it was legit and they were still skeptical. I don't think I look that young? I like being carded though! I'm 21, BITCH. LET ME IN. Anyway more drinking ensued until almost 1:00 and then our drunk asses took the cab home. I wish weight wasn't an issue because drinking is F-U-N! :drool5:

PS Sorry Team! I tried to abstain but I really wanted to enjoy myself. I promise I won't slip up again! :)

Hey, we all have to have a bit of fun sometimes...otherwise we would all fail miserably. That's why it is a lifestyle change, we have to learn to be able to work the 'treats' into our lifestyle in a 'healthy' 'sometimes' way, if we let ourselves have a bit of fun we are far more likely to be successful!

Glad to hear you had a great night...how yah feeling now??

I think this weekend was kind of a halfass workout/ eating weekend. I didn't eat very well and then I slacked off on the workout. I didn't go over my calories today but I didn't eat anything that was all that great for me. I also went to the gym and only did 10 minutes of cardio before hopping off and driving home. I just didn't feel the urge to push through it. I'm also just irritated with my mom so I think I just need to CHILL and do well this coming week. BLAHHH!

So I went on a coffee date today! It was super fun and the guy was great. Hopefully I'll see him again. If anything, that should be motivation for me to keep up with my eating and workout so that I can get a nice B-O-D for all the potential guys I will be dating! Haha.

Anyway, I'm going to take a super long hot shower and go to bed early. SO TIRED.
 
you'll be fine Olux. Everyone has those days. Every now and then i half ass my cardio and quit after 10 minutes. Some days you just don't wanna be there.

A guy ay? Pretty soon you'll need to walk around with a stick.
 
Lol I had a bit of a drinking blow-out on friday night too... but I don't do it often so I refuse to feel too guilty! :D

Liked the tan/muscle story... a real case of mistaken identity!
