OLUX'S Weight Loss Diary

I'm such a heffer. I'm sitting here reading through people's weight loss journals as I eat an ice cream bar. HAah. It's ok, It's 40 calories.
 
I had a really good day today! I woke up and went to the gym - did my cardio + weight training. The scale said I'm exactly 169.0 which is really nice. I know that it's probably better if I don't get on the scale every day, so I'm going to try and just check my weight every OTHER day. It's a big struggle for me, so hopefully I have enough will power! :)

Also, had a lot of downtime today so I checked out the chat area of the forum. I LOVE IT. I met so many new people and they're just so friendly and helpful. It just makes my weight loss journey more interesting and less tedious.

What I'm really pumped for is the Weight Loss Challenge that starts on Tuesday! SOOO EXCITED. Our team is totally going to DOMINATE. Hopefully. ;)

IMPORTANT: ALSO, ALSO, ALSO, I'm turning 21 next week and I know I want to go out and drink with my friends. However, I also know that I don't want to throw away all my hard work. If I just cut down my calories earlier that day, will I be OK to drink without throwing my weight out of wack?


Total Caloric Intake: 1495
Calories Expended: 30 Minutes Cardio + 30 Minutes Weight Training (Where can I get a Heart Rate Monitor? Cost? Thanks!)
 
Hey oLux! I met you in chat either yesterday or the day before. I'm excited to start our challenge together. Its great that we are on the same team! Seems like you are very determined, and thats great to see. Hope to see you in chat again today!

Finally got over to visit your place here. I enjoyed the chats. I've decided to join the 6 week challenge and jump in with your team with Shandy and Brandy.
 
Great workout day, not so great food intake day. Today was my cardio day and I did 55 minutes combined on the elliptical! :)

I just kept snacking all day so that's my pitfall. I ate almonds, grapefruit (2), Honey Nut Cheerios, salad w/ light dressing on the side, 3 oz. chicken breast, half a cookie, etc. I'm sure the list could go on for a little longer. If I went over my 12-1400 calories for the day, then, whatever. I can live with myself! :)

THREE DAYS UNTIL I TURN 21!

Hey, just wanted to say sorry that I didn't get to talk to you yesterday. You came into the chat room and I had a phone call, and you left before it was done, hehe. So I just wanted to pop in and say hi!

You sound like you're doing really good on the exercise and everything! Congrats on getting in the 160's. I hope to be there soon myself!

Oh and don't feel bad, a 40 cal ice cream is really low in calories, so it's all good!

I did really well today! My coworker and I went to the gym together so it actually made me workout way harder than usual because I didn't want her to think I was a slacker. Maybe that's what I need all the time -- someone to watch over me. Such a big baby. Great night at the gym though! I did a little over 30 minutes of cardio and then 30 minutes of lifting.


Food Intake

Breakfast: Plain yogurt, 1/2 Grapefruit
Lunch: Half a turkey sandwich on whole wheat, Hummus with whole wheat pita
Snack: Almonds, 1/2 Banana
Dinner: Salmon, Mixed greens w/ light dressing on the side, Acorn squash soup


I'M SO EXCITED FOR THE CHALLENGE TO START TOMORROW! TEAM 1, YOU KNOWWWWWW.

I'M SO PUMPED THAT THE CHALLENGE HAS STARTED! I'm just so excited for my team. We're all so crazy and friendly - I think we're going to do REALLY WELL! The Challenge definitely made me work out a little harder at the gym and watch what I ate. All positive actions!

I also got a chance to meet some of my teammates in the chat tonight! LOVEE THEM! So HILARIOUS.

I turn 21 tomorrow so I will be out the rest of the week. I'll try my best to come in to check for updates. Don't worry team - I'll still be working it at the gym! GET EM, SONNNN.

Congrats on losing that first 14 lbs!! Feels good doesn't it? 7 days a week at the gym is amazing, keep up the good work. I only go 4 but some days i go twice. haha. yeah i got no life. I'd love to see some progress pictures. Keep us posted. : )

THANKS FOR THE WARM BIRTHDAY WISHES EVERYONE! Don't get too excited yet. My party is this Friday so we'll see how that turns out. I might have to just ask the bartender to sneak me water shots. Haha. I joke, I joke. But really. :)

You know what I really hate? I HATE when cars double park! Especially big cars -- Just because you drive a bigger car doesn't mean you get to park in 1.5 spots. Learn how to f-cking fit your car into the designated spot. PS THANKS FOR PARKING LIKE AN A S S H O L E

I got 60 minutes of cardio + 30 minutes of weight training in today!
