Older, Wiser, but still fat...

Good enough day. Had a limited amount of time so I skipped weights in favor of cardio. I'll have time for weights on Friday and Saturday, so I'll just adapt my schedule.

Cardio, 1 hour of mountain biking. Really enjoying this lately. Getting outside in the woods is fun. The only issue is that ist is getting into hunting season now... Better wear hunter orange somewhere.

My arm is not doing as well today. I may have actually done something to it. I'm getting a sharp pain whenever I get a shock through it (like a bump on my bike). Wierd, everything moves and works well and I recently did a workout with personal best for bench press, so I wouldn't guess a break, but the pain is very sharp in one spot. Guess I'd better get it checked out.

Careful of your arm. I'd say get it checked out, who knows what could be wrong??? Human bodies are very strange.

Good job on the exercise!! I've been having a serious lack of it lately. :-/

Hey Cabbie great job on the 215, your weight keeps coming down and you max keeps going up wont be long until you can bench your weight.

I really like riding my bike, mine is a comfort bike so no curb jumping for me...lol

Go get that arm checked out!

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, Karl - I've been in a weird mood lately.

I checked out all 73 pages of those car photos - some pretty cool stuff n there.

well done...altho take it easy on ur intensity! dont hurt yrself!!
i wish i had the opportunity to do out doorsy stuff for exersize :( i live smack in the city center and even running outside is like an attempt to kill urself from all the gas exhausts from the cars.

Thanks all, Feeling the love in here!

Go figure, today, no pain at all in the arm  Haven't had the chance to make an appt yet, we'll see how it is after the weekend.

Cardio - 1 hour 15 minutes mountain biking

Short but heavy pull session
3x5x230 chest supported row
2x10x160 close (underhand) grip lat pulls
3x5x35 DB hammer curls
3x5x115 standing rows
back hyper extensions on roman chair
crunches

Quick stop, be back later.

Stayed on my plan for the weekend, didn't even bend it. Did sit on my lazy ass on Sunday and call it a "rest" day. Only thing resembling exercise involved some alone time with my hunny...

Today did 1:15 on the bike and a light press, along with some squats and step ups.

oh yeah, hit the scale at 301... I'm so f---ing close to breaking that psychological 300 barrier I can taste it. That will be next week for sure. I'm motivated, nuthin gonna stop me now. 299 or bust by next week which coincindentally would also represent a net overal loss of 90 lbs from my heaviest. God knows how much that represents in terms of actual lbs of fat lost. Given the horrendous shape I was in at the start I'm sure I made some major re-comp changes too so we'll see.

301! Congrats!!! I'm routing for you to see the 299 next week! I'm hoping to see a 199 in the next 2 weeks.

Did I say next week? I must be the benefactor of a whoosh... I was down again today. I am officially at 299 now.:party:

It's kind of weird. I had one of those things this wekend when I looked at myself and I looked thinner, but the scale didn't show it. I mean, my watch was sliding around on my wrist, I made a new hole in my belt, and felt like there was a change, but the scale didn't show it. Then over the last 2 days I went down 4 lbs just like that. I know Lyle McDonald has a theory about it, so I'm using the term whoosh based upon that. God knows I've put the effort into it...

Edit: That also now puts my BMI under 33. I don't put a ton of stock in BMI, it doesn't seem to work well with short, tall or athletic people, but nonetheless, it is still a reference used by many.

I dived straight over here as soon as I saw your wonderful news in my diary...

Congratulations.

Very well done.

What an amazing milestone

:hug2:

To have a weight that is under 300 and a BMI under 33 all on the same day is truly fantastic. I cannot say how pleased I am for you - I know from my own major milestone days how truly FANTASTIC that feels.

Enjoy the feeling of intense happiness. You have earned it by every minute of exercise and every hour of rigid nutritional control.

The fantastic thing about the BMI moving is not so much what we think about it - but the fact is that doctors and insurance companies use it to judge us. When it moves down - they judge us in a different way.

Great about all those signs of thinness happening too - with the watch sliding and the belt getting shorter... It is strange seeing our body morph into that of a slim person.

congrats!!!!!!

welcome to the 200's club!!!!! ( on behalf of the club itself.....)

i am so excited for you!!!! :):hurray:

Meh, my weight didn't change this week. I Guess I'll take that to mean that the missed workout from the fall on Saturday and the stuffed shells and such from my dad's visit didn't kill me this week. I'll have to leave it there... This weekend should be an easy one to control though so next week should not be a problem.

Slightly disappointed that my best friends ad to cancel their trip with us to Jamaica. They are the ones who convinced us to go after they went to Hedo last year. Guess will have to go and make friends with all the rest of the nekkid peeps there on vacation...

I guess it wasn't a problem! Congrats on 299!! WooHoo!

Now you will feel even more comfortable in your nekkid skin while in Jamaica. When is that trip, btw? ;)

Hi Melissa, I haven't had a 2 in front of the other digits in so long... I'm on a roll now, nothing beats success for motivation. I will be at 285 or better by December.

Hi Kimberly! Haven't seen you in a minute... Our trip is from Dec 5th to the 12th. We got good flights that will put us there in the early part of the day and we won't be leaving until the later part of the day at the other end, so we can maximize our time there. We've already been chatting with a bunch of people who will be there that week, and its going to be an absolute blast, I can tell already.

Hey, i know i dont come around these parts too often...Actually, it might be illegal to have to mass-holes in one thread but kick ass job!!!!! it must feel great to be under 300. You have had an amazing journey and no doubt in my mind you will reach all your goals.

Thanks Matt, always nice to hear from you, you've been there already! Having a good day today too, even got a raise! Have a good weekend!

Karl,

Sorry I missed your whoosh - but I figure it is not too late to add my congrats.

AWESOME!

You're busted down into the 200's - well done, my friend.

Thanks Cord, I appreciate the congrats!

Today felt a little weaksauce to me. The weight portion of the workout was good, but the cardio portion was a little rough. I think my current level of carb intake may need a minor adjustment. Maybe throw in a banana or extra apple into the mix every day.

Anyway;
Lift:
chest supported rows, 3x5x230
standing BB rows 2x10x80
lat pulldowns, narrow undergrip 2x10x120
DB concentration curls 2x10x30
cable external shoulder rotations 2x10x25
bunch of crunches
Roman chair back hyper extensions, 2x14

Cardio
Road bike, 16.2 miles, 1:04 hours. I should have been able to do that in just a tick under 1 hour. I felt like I was pedaling against a headwind the whole way, but when I passed the pond it was glass calm...

looks like I'm at 298 today. I'll take the 1 lb drop, it works for me after a wekend. I did eat well over the weekend though so I was kind of expecting it.
