Older, Wiser, but still fat...

I'm at work and the hungry horrors are setting in - it's all psychological too. I had a late dinner. Realistically at this point I should not be eating until after midnight (I track from midnight to midnight and I'm a night shifter).

Awesome job, guy, your workouts are great!
Almost a little disheartening - no way could I do anything like that yet. :)

I know how the night shifts screw things up - I work rotating shifts and do a few midnights every couple of weeks. I usually count those days from sleep to sleep - makes the first one extra-long, but I can live with that.

heh uuummm I kinda like to be spanked also:slol your doing great Karl I'm very proud of you.I broke my non posting streak for you had to get in on all this spanking action:sand tracking food from midnight to midnight is smart never thought of that

I'm so glad you're back! :hug2: Even if it is for a spank... Are you doing okay?

You must run pretty odd hours having to work the night shifts. do you work like 4 and then a couple days off??

You all are crazy with your spanking...you could get in trouble.

I do a third shift mon - thurs, then a second shift on Friday. Then I'm a p/t cabbie on Saturdays.

As far as the spanking thing getting anyone in trouble? naw... not on this forum - trust me, there have been MUCH more graphic posts :smilielol5:

I started at the gym last august. When I started I was using this machine to do preacher curls - All I could do was like 50lbs for a couple of sets. I jumped back on the machine the other day and ripped off 3 sets at 150lbs, triple what I started at. Basically, you gotta start somewhere is all :) Once you do it consistently for a bit, it all improves.

Rainy again today. 45 minutes of walking on the indoor track, a little less than 4 mph, 10 minutes on the hand cycle, 30 minutes of push split. a few minutes of stretching at the end.

Probably going todo a 25 miler Saturday morning if the weather clears (supposed to).

Just wanted to comment that it's pretty amazing that you're able to maintain your healthy lifestyle with such a hectic work schedule. Well done, Sir!

Oh man a Cabbie too!

I swear a Cabbie tried to kill my friends and i when we were in Las Vegas last weekend. swirving in and out of traffic with 4 drunk ladies is not a good idea. I should mention i've only been in maybe 10 cabs my whole life. ...yeah i'm from the country :)

Hope it quit raining and you could get some nice cycling in!!

Well, it's part determination, and part OCD I think. I keep hoping the results will show up all of a sudden like...

I'm a very safe cabbie, and I'm sure would have enjoyed being your cabbie that night. Drunken ladies are usually fun to drive around...

Oh the stories I could tell...

I've read a few of his posts, he seems like a smart and caring guy. And he's right. It's your diary, post in it and yell, bitch cry, laugh, whatever you gotta do. We'll all be around.

Went for a short walk, 20 minutes or so around the 'hood with my wife and eldest daughter. That was the only exercise today to speak of. This is usually my rough day diet wise, and usually no exercise. Today I'm in at 2662 cal, 64g fat, 403g carbs, 129g protein. This is exceptional for me on a Friday.

Tomorrow I do a pull split in the early morning, then hopefully a buddy of mine will be meeting me at the bike trail in the later morning. If he shows, I'll guarantee 25 miles cycling. If he doesn't, well, I'm still going to ride, but no promises it will be the whole round trip mileage.

Hey Karl... Sorry I didn't peek in on ya yesterday... I was too busy to even get on :) So... I see all is going well with you, glad to hear it, you ROCK!!! As for all the spanking going on... hehehe ... well I love it ;) I think we all need a good spanking from time to time...
I know this isn't cinderellys diary, but i just wanted to tell you since you do check in here often, we are all here for you girlie... that's what this is about.. support whether we're being good or bad... so drop in and when you feel motivated, you'll get to it again... in the meantime, keep your butt coming back... even if it's for spankings ;) hehehe.. well, gotta go.

Weekend update, just a drive by...

13 miles of cycling, should have been more but I got a flat, changed the tube, and got another one... so I added in 20 minutes of walking too..., did my pull work out, so today was like 1:35 of exercise.

Calories were good yesterday, they should be good today too since I'm starting out at like -700...

So today's eating went well. Total calories 3152, 125g fat, 409g carbs, 140g protein.

My weight this morning was okay, snuck a peek on the scale. I'm hoping for a Ka-ching! on Monday , but you all know how that goes sometimes.

I'm really hoping this whole tracking thing has finally settled in as a habit. Each positive change that I have made in the last couple of years has been one of fits and starts before I finally settle in for good. I'm hoping this has finally taken root and will allow me to move past the plateaus (and reversals) that I normally experience. I feel like I'm in a good place right now. Yeah the stress can be f---ing crazy sometimes, but I'm not caving in right now, I'm accepting it and moving on (for the most part). I'll see how long this lasts.

Some habits are good.

What a concept, an entire week in which my plan was followed... who knew it was possible?

I had some rough moments this morning. My wife and I went out for breakfast. We have been really good about not eating out much, but we needed a break from the house for a bit. ( I love my kids, but, they are both home from school, and once you get used to having at least one of them living elsewhere, and the other working a lot... ehh, things feel crowded)

Anyway, I didn't go crazy, I tracked what I ate, and then I made up for it with a healthy and light dinner later (salmon on the grill, with asparagus and wild rice :drool5:).

No exercise today to speak of (well, maybe some alternate cardio when the kids both left the house for a while today:biggrinjester:), today was a rest day.

Haven't fixed my bike tire yet, but I did pull the mountain bike out, so I'm going to go do some off road riding tomorrow.

Sigh... Not as happy as I was hoping I would be today. Hit the scale and it didn't budge. I'm at 317, just like last week. Kinda drives me crazy, because I was good all week. I ate on plan, I exercised regularly. Just didn't get the movemnt on the scale I was hoping for.

I'm not upset by it, I know the rules of this game well enough to knowthat probably some day this week I'll stand on the damn thing and wonder how I lost a bunch of weight overnight... At least it wasn't a gain.

Today I used the moutain bike. Found an old fire road through the woods and rode up it for about 45 minutes, then turned around and rode back for about 25 minutes. Yeah, it was all uphill on the way out. I'm not sure what I did for mileage or speed because the computer on my mountain bike is broken. I'll have to switch it out.

Also did 30 minutes of weights this morning.
