old style Greek training

Hi guys, am interested in doing the old syle greek warrior training. I do allot of CV, and light upperbody workout, but am wanting more.

I do understand thats they train for endurance, explosive speed, and mainly upper body strenght.

Doe's any know of a workout that I could do to (at home) which is based on the above.

Cheers Patrick

Upperbody strength means nothing without core and lowerbody strength. Its like trying to ballence a big rock on a small rock.

What do you mean by Greek Warrior style training.

Please remember that we are making new scientific discoveries everyday. Any sort of training system that was developed over 20years ago I wouldn't go near unless we have proof that it is 1) SAFE and 2) EFFECTIVE

Join a track team, throw heavy ****, do a lot of archery, ride horses, run around a lot, wrestle a great deal, and swing a 10 lb sword around all day.

If you actually do any of this, you'll probably get pretty strong.

Ah, like how to overcome your enemy's expectations by ordering the Mahouts over the mountains, instead of down through the valley?

Why don't you show us what a true Greek Warroior you are and don a toga instead, throwing off all your opponents? Throw? Hahahaha, score, two pointer.

For the record, the Romans were much more militaristic than the Greeks.

um... 4 times a year i wear chainmail and don a foam sword and beat other people up who are as big of dorks as me...

that kinda counts....

also, i have a friend who is teaching me to make chainmail LOL

Kind of. I LARP. Live action role playing. Get dressed up in costume, stay at a camp site for a whole weekend with 30 - 50 other people. Stay in character the whole time.

Swamp trolls. ahahahaha

No foam swords fella, the real deal ,do do full contact battle r-enactments, which do get pretty rough, plus you have to be fit and quite mad to do it but hey...it's good fun.
Took part in the huge battle of hastings this year, 2.5 hours fighting in mail, that was very tiring lol

The pic wont post like this. Upload it to photobucket.com and you can post it from there.
