Okay...3rd times a charm, right?

Okay well I semi-passed the test that was my boyfriend. Tonight I had a personal 7 inch pizza which is approximately 650 calories and also a slice of a different pizza that I'm gonna say was about 100 calories. So my total calorie intake was around 1,570.

This morning I weighed in at approximately 130 (my scale is hard to read), and when I was standing there on the scale, I had a very spontaneous thought of "I want to go run." So...Im gonna go run! :) I'm running over to my boyfriends, to be exact, which I would say is about 1 1/2 miles away, and I will drag his lazy butt out of bed, and we will go running around town. Sounds like a good plan to me! I think I'm going to have a pre-running snack, just so I have some fuel to burn, and so I don't pass out from lack of energy. Alright well...Wish me luck!

Run went well...although when I got to my boyfrien's house, nobody was awake so I just sat outside on their driveway/ back porch for about a half hour...haha...

Well when I drove home, I measured out that it was about 2 and 1/4 miles. So that wasn't a bad run! Especially since I am not exactly a "morning runner"

I had 2 mini bagels with bagels Eric's, and a glass of reduced fat 2%. I don't usually drink 2% but it was all they had and I seriously have to drink milk with bagels. :)

I'm not sure what my plans for today are, yet, but I think I might be going to Target and maybe the mall? I dunno...I wanted to go swimming today, but it looks pretty crappy outside, and it says that it is supposed to rain off and on all day. Eh, what can you do?

oh my goooosh...I am dead tired.

At soccer conditioning today we ran 3 miles at a faster pace than I usually run, and I really pushed myself. I am happy with that, but I am like exhausted now, and I have to go to work.

Weighed in at 129 this morning! :)

I had two peanut butter cookies before I left for soccer, and then I just had about 3/4 of a cup of cocoa puffs in 1% milk. My lunch is going to be pb&j and a bag of grapes. Yum!

umm guess what! I have lost 6 (ish) pounds since I first started, which was really on the 18th! So I have lost 6 pounds in a week! That doesn't seem like it's healthy, but I have been doing it in a healthy way. Huh?

Yo, so I came home tonight, and my brother made some really awesome shishkabobs, however they are spelled. I had two, and a glass of milk.

Lunch was...odd. I had two peanut butter cookies, a few carrots, a bag of grapes, pb&j, and then later I had about 20 thick french fries! AHHHH!

I just got done eating a bowl of fruity cheerios, so breakfast went well. I weigh about the same as yesterday, but what can be expected when you eat so much the day before. I'm not sure when I am going to be able to get in my exercise for today, but I have a feeling that it is going to be later since my neice and nephew are here. They are 2 and 3 and soooo adorable.

I want to talk about yesterday's run at soccer conditioning a little bit more. The girls that started the pace are our 3 current captains, and they are all verbally commited to division 1 colleges to play soccer, so they are good...and fast. I'm not gonna say I was right on their tails, but I was the next person back after them the whole time. It was like that group then about 100 yrds away Kristi! haha I'm really excited about that because I'm usuallu nearer to the back.

That's one of those accomplishments, outside of good numbers on the scale, that really pushes me forward.

thanks a lot mal!

I'm going to attempt a run, however, it is in the 90s outside, so I don't know how long I am going to last.

Today has been interesting...I'm estimating around 300 cals for breakfast, then I had and 80 calorie string cheese, 2 pb cookies that add up to around 200, a bagel that was around 400 calories, a banana that was about 200, a glass of apple juice around 120, and a glass of milk around 150. AHHH! Why am I doing this?

Hey. My name is Sam and I have been reading thru your journal. I also saw your pics of prom and swimsuit pic on the Before and After. I think you have a pretty reasonable goal, and will have no trouble getting there. Running is great exercise. I am doing about 3 miles per day, 5 to 6 days a week right now. I never ever thought I would be doing that! It's crazy. The more you do it, the more your body and your mind will crave it, seriously.

What has been working for me lately, diet wise has been protein and fruits/veggies. I try to eat 5-7 times per day. It is really hard at first and I still sometimes forget to eat but, most of the time now I am pretty good. It has become habit. In my journal I list all the foods I have eaten and at what times, etc. I am no expert, I have just learned a lot in the past few months or so.

Have you ever tried Kashi cereals? Most of them are full of fiber and protein and taste pretty good. I eat it all the time for breakfast. FF Yogurt is also a great snack. Just some ideas, in case your looking for other foods to eat.

Keep up the good work, you will definitely reach your goal! :)

Take Care,
Sam

Yogurt sounds great right now rt be completely honest! Maybe I will have my mom go and get some later! ;)

Running is definitely not something I crave, but once I do it for awhile it just becomes habit. Today, however, I sucked. I kept getting cramps in my shoulders and sides and I had a pain above my chest. Blah...

I look at like this...I have 10 days to get down to 128. Cake...so even though I am having a couple of bad days, I will most likely end up going beyond my goal any way!

oh yeah...where do they sell Kashi cereals?

You can find them at the grocery store. Kashi is a brand. The one I am eating right now is called Honey Almond Flax, and I think it's pretty good. I think it will be easy for you to get down to 128 in 10 days. No problem. Just keep tracking your calories and trying to get some runs in.

Don't feel bad about only having a little bit of weight to lose. All of us are trying to reach our own personal goals and we are just helping each other try to get there... It's nothin but love :)

I eat the FF Yoplait Yogurt. It's a quick 100 cal snack that can tide me over for a couple of hours if need be. They also have a little protein in them.

-Sam:)

Why? I think you're doing a fabulous job remaining upbeat and positive, not to mention dedicated! I was just about to post in fact when I saw your last message. It's lovely to be able to read about how you're handling the last few pounds. I hope I handle it as well as you are! ;)

thanks luke! I just was in a blah mood last night, but it had noting to do with the weight loss, and I am not an emotional eater so it was good!

so Im off to soccer practice...great. I went to bed at 3:00 am, and I can barely even keep my eyes open. I have no energy at all, and soccer requires lots of energy.

Soccer went alright...we did sprints instead of long distance, which is better for a tired person in my opinion. I think I may go for a jog later tonight, but I am not 100% yet.

Alright, today's food....

1 yogurt before soccer = 100 cal
2 Blueberry oatmeal mixes after soccer = 260 cal
for lunch...
1 cheese stick, with 8 pretzels = 180 cal
1 banana with 1 tbsp of peanut butter = 300 cal

That adds up to 840 calories...yay.

I just have to say that today I went outside to eat lunch, and it was great. I was in the shade and there was a breeze, so everything was peaceful. this may sound weird, but the surrounds I think helped to slow me down when I was eating and really enjoy what it was I was eating. My lunch wasn't very big, but I had a glass of water with it, and when I was done I felt as stuffed as if I had just had 4 soft taco supremes!

I think I am going to go to the mall, now, to look for a new outfit or a new bathing suit.

Let me just say that I am a pro at scarfing around for things to make a meal with. Nobody is home at my house, and I have to go to work in like 10 minutes. Since I won't be done until like 8:30 I decided to eat dinner before I left. At first I was like "Crap, I am gonna have to make a pb&j sandwich or have some cereal" but then I looked around and found the following items.

6 Tyson chicken nuggest = 300 cal
"Devil's Spit" BBQ sauce = 50 cal
Strawberry Low fat yogurt = 100 cal
An assortment of blueberries and green pepper = 100 cal

The blueberries and pepper weren't eaten together, I just put them together because they were fruits and veggies.

So 550 calories plus 840 calories = a total of 1390 calories! Even if I want to have a snack later, I won't go over my 1500 calorie limit! I'm so proud of myself for gutting it out all day.

On a sadder note, looks like the jog is not going to work out because I forgot that I picked up another girl's hours for tonight. Oh well, at least AI got some workout in earlier with soccer. Which reminds me! I did lunges with a 10 pound weight today, and my legs and butt are soooo sore. When I was doing them, I was like "Holy cow!" but I did all that I was supposed to, and actually more than most girls did!

If you can't tell this has just basically been a great day for me. :)

That's great you had such a wonderful day! I was just about to ask about blueberries and green peppers :) Oh and thanks for mentioning the lunges, I'm going to do some tonight as well now ;) Have a nice night at work!

I'm back from work! Yeah, I only had to work for 2 hours, so I made approximately $14.00 woohoo! haha

I'm in the process of eating my snack, which is a cup of fruity cheerios (my favorite cereal).

I think I am going to go on a morning jog tomorrow because I work from 12 until 6.
