October Weight Loss Contest -- Guess My Weight Loss

Ok... so I thought I'd make losing weight a little fun for me & you guys as well for helping me stay motivated & on track. Heres how it will work, I will list my current weight below & you will have 1 month to guess my weight for the next month. The member with the closest guess without going over will win a prize each month. I plan on doing this contest for at least a year so best of luck to everyone & lets hope I do good! haha!! Also, be sure & browse the forum as my forum posts can be an indication if I am doing good or not so good.

Since today is September 27th, you will have until October 26th to put in your guesses. My weight will be posted once again on October 27th.

July 27th 2010 - 315.2 lbs (Starting Weight)
August 27th 2010 Weight - 291.5 lbs (23.7lbs lost)
September 27th 2010 - 281.5 lbs (10lbs lost)

Got 1 more idea: Each month I will take a picture of the scale, so unfortunatley (sp?) your gonna have to see my not so attractive feet..lol but you'll see the number. No body pictures will be posted until May 27th 2011, with my goal weight hopefully of 225 or less.

Jesais -- I appreciate the 165 altho im 100% sure its a typo and you meant 265...lol I wish. 268 was the lowest I have ever been in the last 3 years!! Wish me luck! Keep them guesses coming. hey bdub - what are you doing exactly to try and lose weight? Just looking at your first two months, I'm very impressed and would like to know how you are doing it.

Well I work 7 hours a day which is constantly on my feet... I have 2 little girls that keep me running all day. Im always doing a few hours of yardwork/housework most days im home during the week. I also walk our local bike trail when I get time & run around with the kids at the park. The bike trail round trip is usually between 6 & 8 miles. I also try and workout on the treadmill on days that are a little slower then normal. I also minimize the fat I eat.. calories on an average day range from 1600-2000 at most allowing myself 1 day a month to dine out where I can eat whatever I want. A reward for eating good all month, kinda something you work up to and look forward too.
 
I cant believe my bmi will still be 32 even when at 200lbs, but I have a bowflex coming in to workout with also so I cant imagine my bmi will even be close to that, I think at 200lbs you can have a healthy bmi. I was 200lbs in 6th grade.... im wearing jeans right now that I wore in 7th grade which was 1996-1997 lol! Anyone know how to edit these darn tickers? I dont see an option for that at all... or do you have to make a new one every time?

I'm all for supporting you in your weight loss...but we can't have you littering the forum with so many threads about your weight loss. I really think you need to have ONE thread. I am removing your thread asking for people to visit your other thread.

I will ask the admin if he thinks you should be able to have a new thread every month, or just keep it to one thread.

-- That was an email I recieved today, apprently im littering the forums trying to be an active member and ask questions. These forums are very slow... Ill head elsewhere sorry to be of a problem or anything... so much for some people being party poopers.
 
As I said via email......the 'littering" i was referring to was not just creating a thread....but creating another thread telling people to go to the other thread. Both threads are not neccessary. You litterally created a thread...we'll call it "thread A" then you created another thread..."thread B" that said "hey guys...heres a link to thread A Join up". We dont' need BOTH threads. Thread A alone is fine. And 10 million other threads with various questions are fine....my point WAS that we didnt' need a seperate thread directing people to another thread. Thats all.

As I also said via email....that just b/c I think you should have one thread doesn't mean that's the way it'll happen....as promised, I emailed the admin to see what he thinks. He might not have a problem with it.

Seeing how I am the brutally honest Mod here (Korrie's the sweet one), I'll say this. It was starting to seem that your goal was more about getting noticed sometimes. We all help and support. Just because you didn't rack up large post replies doesn't mean people didn't follow you or cheer you on. You offered money in your posts, you crossthread posted to get people to go to your thread. I think you was working way too hard to be one of the known people here. I do wish you well in the weight loss and I'm fine for you staying but relax a little ok? You're complaining that the forums are slow, but in what manner? That your thread isn't 100 replies long yet? just relax, be a part of the community.

Sorry I emailed Korrie & apologized.... I have ALOT of family issues right now in the sense of my sisterinlaw being suicidal and were all tryin to deal with it & it doesnt take much to set me off right now.:willy_nilly:
