October Progress Pic - Half my Size! 280 to 140

My new favorite!

Oh me oh my. I think I have a new favorite transformation. You don't look like the same person at all. Congratulations on all the hard work and the commitment - it's truly inspiring!
 
Hey, I'm also 5"4', and I'm having a hard time dropping weight. My heavest was only 155, but I want to get down to 120ish.. I dipped down to 139 this summer, now.. it's been at least a month, and I'm hovering at 142. I want it to go away.. just the last few lbs, but i seem to loose 3 gain 3 almost daily. I've made 130 as my short term goal. it's just taking so long to loose any weight!

I'm watching portion sizes and I'm doing cardio 5 times a week and weights 4. What do you suggest? How long do you think it will take- realistically?

So i wrote this long response your post and of course got logged out and lost it.. but anyways.. Let me try again.. If you are active and eating healthy try not to dwell so much on the number on the scale. I know that I will never get to 120 pounds and I too am 5'4.. If you are more muscular you are going to weigh more.. and 142 is a healthy weight for our height! I'm sure its possible to get down to that magic number.. but it might require drastic changes to your eating/exercise routine that are not going to be easy to maintain in the long-run. Afterall, it is a lifestyle change.. not just a quick fix to get to that magic number. I weigh 135-140 pounds.. and sure I still have some problem areas.. but I also eat what I want (in moderation of course) and exercise regulalry.. I'm not going to restrict my diet severely and exercise like a maniac to try and get that number down any further just for the sake of getting to a given number.
 
I can't get over your pictures. What a gorgeous women. I bet you feel amazing now that all the weight is gone. truly an inspiration.
 
COngrats again. You do look amazing.

Keep up the good work, exercise and eating sensibly does help, I found it helped me to. I lost 3 stone in 12 weeks and have managed to keep it off for 5 years. I now help others to achieve their weightloss or weight maintanence goals. I got so into eating sensibly and wanted to know more, so I dod a course on nutrition. It really helped me to understand how my body actually works.

How long did it take you to lose half your body weight? have you any tips for helping others in the early days of their diets to perservere?
 
Wow, you are absolutely stunning! Good for you, thats amazing! I always think its so crazy how different people can look when they get to a healthy weight! Thank you for posting these pictures, they are very motivating!!

Please could you help me work out 2 things my ideal weight?? and how many calories i can have in a day? i am taking baby steps at the moment and have given up my red wine [3 days] crisps and dips [3 days] its a start. Can you honestly tell me that when you gave up something you felt like it was gone because i now feel no craving or attachment to what i have given up, i only see all my other bad habits. wow !! you look GREAT!!!! great job!!

i have one quesetion though do you or did you have any loose skin after losing that much?

i ask cause i was 280 after having my last baby and now i am 254 . my goal is at least 200 but i am so scared that i will just have loose hanging skin everywhere, which i think would be worse then beening fat for me as to i have no funds for surgery.
