October Progress Pic - Half my Size! 280 to 140

Hey! I have a personal question if you don't mind talking about it. Was there a point where you were worried about having looser skin? I am down 80 from 251, and while I am shrinking up, I am hoping it continues.

You look fabulous, and your pics look like two completely diff people! Work it girl!

Yes. I still worry about my loose skin.. All my insecuritites from the being overweight has carried over to the loose skin issue. I've also had two children.. and I have lost the weight fairly quickly.. but the healthy way.. with diet AND exerdcise.. and so I am hoping things will tighten up a bit more in the next year.. I know I could be doing more in terms of targeted exercises so I am going under the notion that if I keep it up my skin will get to the point where its not obvious that I've lost a lot of weight. I just think it takes time.. and you definitely need keep the exercise up. I signed up for a half marathon in January.. so we will see how toned I can get by then and when I'm comfortable I'll try and post pics of my tummy and arms(those are my problem areas).. maybe I'll take some and now and do 3 months from now.. On with the strength training!
 
What a huge difference. You look FANTASTIC!! Did you find times that you hit a plateau for a few weeks?? If so, what did you do to shake it up?

Thanks! and I actually have been losing consistently.. no plateaus.. and i'm now pretty much at my goal weight. But i have been changing things up as I have went along to prevent the plateau thing from happening.. as I have gotten into better shape I have done more intense exercises. I eat healthy.. I try new things.. I eat out a lot but i look up the nutrition info for everything.. i've went in phases from writing everything down that i put in my mouth and weighing and measuring out exact portions.. to just eating whatever i want in moderation and just making up for the indulgences with a little extra exercise. The easiest way to think about it for me is that you have to burn more calories that you consume .. if you do that there isn't any reason why you won't lose weight.. so along the way i have calculated out my BMR and determined calories burned for various activities. Now its more of a habit so I don't find myself writing everything down anymore.. just make mental notes here and there. I have figured out what works for me on a day to day basis and do my best to keep at it.

Right now I'm focusing on the strength training.. want to get nice and toned so we'll see where that goes. As for the exercise progression.. i started out just walking.. little things just like parking further.. taking stairs... then started walking my kids and dog regularly.. and now jogging with my dog for 5 miles. I have an elliptical that I use at home... started with 30 minutes.. have worked my way up to 60. Trying different workout videos.. I have few FIRM ones and the jillian michaels biggest loser set which I LOVE! 30 minutes and its intense workout! I Just have kept setting new goals for myself.. and reward myself with shopping trips when my clothes get too big!

You look great. Good job on working so hard, it definately paid off for you :), what amount in calories do you eat per day? Do you have a set goal or?

You look great! I went from 240 to 145. I am having a prob with "loose" skin now. I was wondering if you were having the same prob and if so... do you have any advice on how to get rid of it?

You look very pretty and fit. Did you have any problems with skin sagging or anything? I only ask because that scares the hell out of me.
 
You look great! Do you mind me asking how tall you are. Your befores remind me of my befores. I also started out as just shy of 280.
