Obese teen..

If you don't have a boyfriend/ a girlfriend, one way to make sure you stick to your regime is to convince yourself that the opposite sex is shallow.
I have a few friends who went with this belief, and now 2 out of 5 of them look STUNNING, with the other three almost there :)
 
How's your diet going? Try psyllium husks to make you full. The Vitamin Shop has all kinds.
 
your doing great it's even harder when your family is not much of help, but your are on the right track just keep on going, looks like you have found support here from what i have read so far :party:great job
 
I've been overweight as a child into my teens and now as an adult. I've tried every diet you can think of. What really has been working for me is not eating a lot of processed foods. I stay away from "white" foods. You know, bread, sugar, flour, pastas and stuff like that. I really love fresh fruit and veggies. Pineapple is my favorite. It's like candy to me because it's so sweet. Most of my carbs come from fruits and veggies. I'll have bread, but it's always whole grain. I allow myself to eat whatever I want for lunch on Sundays. Just so I don't go crazy. What you're doing though is GREAT! You really sound like you have it together. Stay strong!:seeya:

Great job so far, just do your best to stay motivated. To me that's the most important part, as once you lose motivation it can really kill your routine. At this rate you'll be 150 before your brithday :cheers2:

I am not a great fan of diets. You are supposed to lose Lbs not £s, but most will cost you, and there is a very successful way of losing weight without starving yourself or giving up all your favourite foods. Whatever your weight, the body needs conditioning to accept changes in small but progressive doses. Think of how long it took to reach the weight you are! You are not going to get rid of it overnight. It is no use going headlong into a restrictive diet or an agressive exercise routine, however, you can start a steady and permanent loss procedure, using simple and painless actions. Start by drinking a glass of water first thing in the morning, and replace a couple of items in your meals with Non Calorie Foods. There is a free list of Non Calorie Foods
Don't think about it, Just Do It, and let's start to get you trim.

when i lost weight what i did was think of something bigger than the enjoyment of food. i looked at food as nourishment and it was easier to look at food as a tool and not a pleasure because i got into fitness training my body.

I like this tyrann180! I think it's so important to fill yourself up before you eat- as in find inedible sources of pleasure to treat yourself with. Depending on what you enjoy it can range from exercise to downloading new music--I actually like to hop on youtube sometimes and watch videos to get new ideas on hair and makeup techniques - they are really good, helpful and fun! I find it's very helpful to add to your life instead of feeling like your taking away (once you have inedible treats in place, it's a lot easier to see food as fuel instead of your primary source of pleasure or comfort).

It sucks when our family members are non-supportive, but it looks like you aren't lacking support here (and good for you for seeking it out and finding it!) :) We're all here to cheer you on, carrry that energy with you throughout the day and know you are the single most important source of inspiration for you - all the good stuff you hear from us or anyone else is just a reflection of all the good stuff that's already inside of you.

Hi there applee. Correct me if I am wrong when you lack sleep the night before you tend to over eat right? If you do, then make sure you have a good night sleep the night before so that you will not compensate the lack of sleep through eating. I usually did this before.

One suggestion, no more eating beyond 6pm:) No more midnight snacks...
