Nothing To Loose - That is the goal

Well, we're planning to walk a lot and do a 2 hr horseback ride. As far as I know the only time we're planning on sitting is at the restaurants for meals and back at a hotel room, so vacation will probably end up being more active then while here at home. Its a good thing though, because we have several restaurant trips planned, and I'll need all the help I can get not to gain. :) That's ok though, that's what vacations are for, right?

We're leaving for vacation on Sunday, and should be back Thursday night.

Hey NTL sorry I haven't dropped in recently but I've just spent some time looking back over your diary. It's a good idea to keep drinking as much water as possible because I've been told you retain water when you exercise too. In fact I usually find I loose a bit of weight over the weekend when I'm not actually doing any exercise. Hope you enjoy your holiday and your horse riding.;)

Crunchie, thanks for stopping by and for advise!

Well, I'm back from vacation, and I have a good news and a bad news. Good news is that right before vacation, for the very first time in my life I saw the scale say 129.5!!!!! The bad news is that after vacation I've put on 2 lbs, and I'm back to 131.5 (rrrr). This had to be expected, though. Unfortunately, that set me back but I'll just have to work hard on loosing more. Would be really nice to see 120's again. :) I'm planning on riding 3 times a week and supplementing that with additional exercise (bike, rope jumping and bowflex).

There's minor problem of weired pain in back of my left thigh. Its been kind of developing for almost three weeks. The funny thing is that it happens when I sit mostly, but when I'm active(walking around doing stuff) the pain goes away. Guess in a good way it will give me extra motivation to not sit on the couch when I get home. On another hand, sitting on my job 9 hrs a day plus 2 hr sitting commute in the car do not make this fate very pleasing.

Ok, yesterday was fun. I went to a horse show (jumping), I rode well and I even got a few ribbons! I think my diet was ok, but I could not quite tell.
Weight is still the same, cannot wait to loose those few extra vacation lbs!
I am hoping to see some difference by the end of this week.

looks good NTL. I'm sure those "vacation pounds" will come right off! 129.5, huh? wow. that is great. bowflex is really making a difference!! ;)

is 125 your overall goal weight or is that a short term weight - i forget - sorry!

Ahh...the 120's. Such found memories of my high school years. I have been closer to the 200's longer than I was ever near the 120's. Congrats on being so very close to your goal! :)

Thank you all! It may be a couple of weeks before I get back to that number... Today unfortunately I gained another lb and feel bloated and heavy... uck... Despite being fairly good (about 1500 cals per day) since I came back from vacation.

I have to admit, it felt increadibly good to see 129 on the scale. I don't think I've been there since teenage years.

Skyler - I'm afraid 125 is my interim goal, because I doubt that those 6 lbs will make anough difference in my body to call it quits. Most likely my final goal will be around 120, maybe even 115, but I'm not even going to think about that until the time comes. So far I've been loosing 1 lb per month recently, so thinking of anything below 125 is just too far away.

Unfortunately I had to cancel my riding today due to the doctor appointment. Have to go check out that weird pain I have in the leg. That means I'll have to do regular old-fasioned cardio and bowflex later tonight. I'm trying to ride at least 3 times per week for exercise. Tuesday at the show I was pleasantly surprized on my increased stamina. Not only I prepared the horse after work, took him to a show, I warmed up, jumped to rounds, and did a warm up to a 3rd round(although I did not jump it). Last show I was completely exhausted after 2 rounds, but this time I was just slightly tired. So my stamina has gone a long way in the last couple of months, and I'm definitely happy about that, but there's always room for improvement. :)

Hey NTL it's always great when you notice improvements in your fitness, soon you'll be running marathons every Saturday!:D

He-he-he, I don't think I'll be running anywhere anytime soon, but I may be going to a horse trial in a few weeks, which is competition that has 3 phases, and I would really need all the stamina I could get for that one! :)

Feel kinda bad as I did not get a chance to exercise when I came home yesterday, but my cals were ok. Definitely exercising today.

Man, I did not get to post here in a while. Weekend has been really hectic, with me being away from computer, and last few work days have been very busy too. I am definitely not exercising enough to keep loosing weight. Today I'm definitely doing it. Have not lost much weight yet either.

Although people have been giving me compliments lately, and it is always nice to hear, but I need further progress! to make things worse, my leased horse had sore feet, so I could not ride him as hard as before, but I heard that he is better now, so I'm hoping to make up for lost time. Well, I'm off to exercise!

Ok, I was good yesterday and rode stationary bike for 20 min. Although I was not pushing myself that hard, but I figured something is better then nothing, and since I didn't exercise on the bike for a while, I decided to make it an easy exercise session. Tonight I'm riding, so my exercise should be good. Friday is bike and bowflex again.

Hey NTL how did you get on this weekend, hope it was a nice one for you? Did you get to your show or has it not happened yet and I've lost track of time?

Hi, Crunchie!
My weekend was good! I rode Sat and Sun, and had really good rides both times, so it was all good! This Tuesday I'm going to a small schooling jumping show, it should be fun. With all the riding I felt like I got enough of exercise. My goal is to step up exercising on my non-riding days. Unfortunately, I often seem to be exhausted after work, and it is very hard to make myself move. But I'll keep trying. :)

Good Morning!!!!!! You have been doing good with your Workouts!!!! keep it up!!! Have a Great Day and don't forget......... Yes, That WATER!!!!!;)

Hi, Jelly! You're back!!!! Yes!!!! It is nice to see familiar face. I am drinking water right now!!!! :)

Ok, the scale has not moved yet, but I've been feeling slimmer last couple of days, which is always good! Hope all the horse exercise and shows will help me with loosing few lbs soon!

Hi NL~

I'm gald I'm back too. I've missed you all. There are so many new faces:D But I am happy to hear you are doing allright and are still riding. As long as you feel and look slimmer then that is all that matters. Have a GREAT day and keep drinking that WATER:p

If you've been loosing inches then I bet it's your muscles toning up that's caused the scale to get stuck, what you see yourself is all that matters as jelly says. Keep up the good work and I'm glad you had good rides last weekend.

Thank you for support, Jelly and Crunchy! My upper body has basically turned normal - I can feel my ribs now, so that's great! However, my lower body has not lost anything in a very-very-very long time. This weekend scale teased me with below 130's, but I'm back to 131 this morning. (Its a darn number, I cannot get away from it!)

There is one thing I have to be grateful for - is that fat comes off first my upper body, because upper body fat is the most dangerous and unhealthy one. Still, for aesthetic reasons I'd like to get the fat off my hips, thighs and upper arms. I need to exercise more and eat less. I was not horrible with my food, but I don't "undereat" as much as I should.

Morning NL !!!!!!!!! maybe you should try to mix up your workouts. Go swimming, do lunges, squats, weights, or some workout videos for fat burning and toniing. Right, Cause that what they say. But, Everyones bodies are different. Well, Have a GREAT Day and drink your H2O:D
