No more Yo-Yo'ing. V's Journal

I was just wondering how things were going for you so popped in to check out your diary. You are hovering so near to goal - that it is so encouraging for the rest of us. We hear so much about the problems that the last few pounds bring. I know that it is old news for your regular followers - but congratulations on getting to your WW goal and returning to the meetings.

I am planning on joining WW next week to put a plan in place for dealing with maintenance. The idea of free membership and getting to attend regular meetings to stay on track really appeals.

I couldnt help but notice on summer solstice that you are having a battle with maintenance. I just thought that I would pop by and offer a word of support. The concept of maintenance frightens the life out of me. I am really hoping that you succeed with this.

we all want to know how you are doing!!!! I'm sorry that maintenance is battling you; I've never gotten close to having to maintain...so I have no idea. I google everything. Maybe find out the exact amount of calories you have to eat to maintain, and other tips? You've probably already done it all....but I figured I'd try to help. lol. Miss you!

Hi Margret & Brandy,

Thanks for checking up on me and for your encouraging words. It has been a struggle these past few months. Busy schedule and stress has been causing me to fluctuate up and down from week to week. I do feel like I have gotten back into "the zone" as I call it. I hope to stay focused and reach my new goal of 120. I'll see exactly where I am at tomorrow at weigh in and how much further I have to go to reach my new goal.

I did have a major accomplished recently. I participated in my first run, 4 miles, on Memorial Day. Ever since I have been running on the treadmill I have wanted to participate in some sort of mini marathon. I am happy to say not only did I complete it but I exceeded my expectations. I wanted to finish the 4 miles in under 50 minutes and would have been really happy to finish it in under 45 minutes. My official time was 39:08 minutes so needless to say I was extremely pleased with my performance.

I hope my schedule will settle down some now that summer is approaching and I can get back to posting regularly. It certainly helps in the weight loss/maintenance endeaver.

Thanks again for stopping by.

V.

I can't wait to start running again! My goal is to run in the 2010 Boston Marathon. I just want that sense of accomplishment! Keep up your good work in "the zone"! Don't be a stranger!

It's great to hear that you are back in the zone.

The running sounds great - I havent ran in about 30 years - but who knows what the future will hold. I am just about at the weight that I could do something like that and not kill myself - maybe.

Well done for doing so well across a 4 mile run recently. Your time was brilliant. You have every right to feel proud of that achievement.

Happy New Year!

I remember that you enjoyed the last Amazing Race challenge that we had on WLF...

You may be interested to know that Dawn (Bellayryna) is kicking one off on ANOTHER DIET FORUM over the next few days (teams out of a hat) and the sign up threads have been posted.

I have gained a bit over Christmas - so am looking to lose weight this time round - but there are points for folk in maintenance too...
