No more Yo-Yo'ing. V's Journal

Thanks guys. It does feel really good.

Had an extremely busy weekend. We are getting our store ready to reopen on Friday so was working hard scrubbing it down and getting everything set up and ready to go. I wasn't able to even find some time to exercise and although I, for the most part, watched what I ate, I didn't really stick to my points.

The good news is, even after a weekend like that, I weighed myself this morning and I'm down another 1.4lbs! Go figure, lol.

V,

Nice job on being down 1.4 lbs despite not sticking to your points and being unable to find time to exercise.

What store do you own? I'm sorry if I missed it earlier in your diary!

I still haven't even thought about a team name.....I have a horrible creative side but I'll think! I am so excited for these challenges to begin b/c I have been slacking a little, unfortunately even today I wasn't such a stickler about measuring what I was eating, counting calories, etc. Oh well! Hopefully I'll slowly get back on track.

Have you tried the second BL dvd?

Congrats on losing weight!! You just keep going down and down and down the weight loss slide!!

Thanks Brandy,

That's how it's always been for me. Once I start losing the weight it just consistantly continues to disappear. I'm lucky in that respect. My biggest problem is maintanence. Once I do take the weight off I have a hard time keeping it off because I eventually revert back to my old, very bad, habits. I intend to break those bad habits once and for all.

We own my worst nightmare, an Italian Ice/Ice Cream store, lol. I could eat a quart a day easily of the Italian Ices. But not this spring/summer. If I do have it I'll be limiting myself to smalls which is about 1/2 cup. Our ices are being delivered today so I've planned it into my points for the day, then I'm going to stay away from it. Glad they came before the challenge started, lol.

If I can find the time today, which I think I'll be able to manage, I'm going to start the second BL dvd.

Hello... I was reading through your dairy,
you have done a great job!!
Congrats on all your loss so far!
I have decided i want to do the Weight Watchers,
I have done it before and lost 40 lbs before i had
my daughter and keept if off for almost 2 years! I know it
works just have to stick to the points!! I need 28 (damnit..lol)
not for long!! DO you go to the meetingS?? I'm going to try to
do it at home since i still have all the things i need (point finde, books)
well I hope you have a great week!!!

Hi Amber,

I absolutely love Weight Watcher's. I've been doing it on my own but do intend to go back to the meetings and weekly weigh-in's once I hit my goal weight, which I'm 5lbs away from doing. I'm a lifetime member so if I'm at goal I don't have to pay each week. I've been able to stay with it on my own so I figured I'd save a few bucks. But the meetings can be motivational and keep you accountable.

Definitely go back to following Weight Watcher's. You know it worked for you in the past so you can feel confident that if you stick to your points you will be able to do it once again. That confidence will take you a long way.

Good Luck! If you have any questions about points I'm a master at finagling my points to get the most out of them, lol.

V.

Hey!! Looks like you had a good day! Yeah i love the meetings and looking forward to the weigh-ins, but I to want to save some money, trying to pay for school and i have a baby...well i hope that i can do it on my own!!

oops sorry I left for work at like 415 this morning and got home pretty late tonight! Anything works.....dream team or blue crew? both sound good......you choose and post it :)

Thank you for posting Team names. I had to go to the ER Tuesday night, and didn't get home until late yesterday. I hadn't slept in over 30 hours, and I was on lots of meds from the hospital. So I went to sleep. I'm sorry. But the Dream Team is cool!!

The blue crew works for me, lol. I'm excited about the challenge. I'm getting all pumped up. Planning on doing at least 2 hours of exercise today. With our store being open now there will be a lot of nights my husband wont be home and I'll be able to get double the workouts in if needed.

My weight, although down a little bit from Friday's weight in, this morning I was 137.3, actually went up 2lbs from where I was in the middle of this week, 135.3. I'm expecting a visit from mother nature any day so I think that is the cause. Plus I didn't make my usual bathroom visit before weighing in either. There are some things you just can't force, lol. No biggie, it'll help me hopefully show a loss in the first week of the challenge.

Going out to buy my cabbage today and get the detour taken care of. I'm of the philosophy to just get it done, then I don't have to think about it.

I'm really going to enjoy this challenge. It sounds like it's going to be a lot of fun with the road blocks and detours. It'll definitely keep it interesting.

Ok, off to work I go. Have a good day everyone.

You are an exercise bunny!!! Great job. Today was nice out... BEAUTIFUL out. And I didn't go outside because I had a bad experience being as sick as I was... i couldn't even move my eyelids. EEK. Hope your day went as planned!!
