No more Yo-Yo'ing. V's Journal

Hi Amber,

Thanks for stopping by and saying hi. Maybe I'll get both DVD's then. They are only $9.99 on Amazon so it might be worth getting the two along with the Cardio Max. I have to do Jillian's powerscuplt segment on the Exercise on Demand Channel again to see what I think of it. I did it once but don't remember what I thought of it. I have a feeling I wasn't too impressed because I would have remembered it then. But I'll give it another shot.

I hope you have a good weekend too!

So, I weighed in this morning and I hit a new milestone. I lost 1.7lbs this week which puts me back in the 130's!!! The loss also puts me within single digits, 9lbs., of my Weight Watcher's goal of 130.

I'm feeling really good. I like that I have finally started to incorporate strength training into my workouts too. I think visually that's going to start to make a big difference.

I'm also really proud that I made it thru to the end of the Biggest Loser Challenge. I did really well. I lost 20.8lbs during the challenge and managed to get every exercise and bonus point throughtout the challenge. I really enjoy the challenges. Looking forward to the next one.

CONGRATS on getting into the 130s....you must feel AMAZING......you have done so well these past couple of months!!!!!!!!

I haven't been around your diary in a couple days, but in response to your question, I do really like the 1st BL dvd. I don't know if I would like it had I not been watching the show b/c it can get a bit boring, but it's definitely a good challenging workout that I can feel the next day. I own the cardio max and the second one but they are still in shrink wrap. I may exchange the second one (since I've heard it's easier) for something else.

Congrats on winning the challenge!!!!!!!!!!

congratulations on such great progress! I noticed we have alot in common...Im near to where you started (187) and my goal is 130. I'm also from NY..

Thanks Angel, Amber and Keepitoff. It does feel pretty great to be back at this weight. Every time I pass a mirror I have to stop and look, lol. Or I find myself putting my hands on my waist a lot, feeling how much it's shrunk. It's a really good feeling. One I have to remember when any urges to binge start to strike.

Hi Leanerme,

Thanks for stopping by. Yes we do have a lot in common. When I started (this time around) I wanted to lose 55lbs. I'm closing in on my goal now. Are you following any particular program? What part of New York are you from? I love NY. Don't think I could live anywhere else.

Good luck in your journey. Just stick with it and you'll reach your goals.

Thanks Margaret. The challenge was a lot of fun and definitely keeps you on your A game. There's no room for slacking off. I can be very competitve and strive to get every point possible. So it's a great way to push myself for those weeks.

Now that the challenge is over I don't plan on slacking off any. It's so easy to start to slack off. But that's not going to do me any good is it?

Thanks for stopping by.

I have a similar competitive streak too. I just cannot help but aim to get the bonus points. There are quite a few of us like that - so these things tend to end up a comparison of weightloss.

Now I am looking forward to the next challenge. It will start up just after Kimberly's birthday (she likes getting her points too and doesnt want to have to watch what she eats on her birthday - it was bad enough for her counting her calories this week on her husband's birthday!)

i just read my earlier post.
hey great job on the 130s and getting into the 130s!!!

Way to go with sticking with the Lenten challenge. I stink and fell off after like a week (moreso b/c I forgot about it than anything). Lol, I need BB to make a no soda bonus week...I'm sure that'll get me to stick to it!

I'm anxiously awaiting your reviews of all those DVDS once you get them so I know which to keep and which to buy :)

Hi Keepitoff,

The DVD's were shipped out yesterday (Mon) so I should be getting them any day. I'll definitely let you know what I think of them.

I put it in my mind to see the Lenten Challenge thru to the end so I'm going to stick with it. I think that I am the only one that is doing it but that's ok. Kind of prove it to myself that I can do it.

I'd like a no soda bonus in a challenge. Since I don't drink any soda that'd be a cinch for me, lol.

Yum, peanut butter! I don't know what my deal is, but I just wont eat it b/c I'm afraid of all that fat! I know it's "healthy" and whatnot in moderation, but I am still scared haha. But boy do I LOVE IT, esp with apples!
