No More Wobbly Bits!

No more wobbly bits.. that's the aim!

I've decided to start a diary here to help motivate me throughout the next 6 weeks and onwards. Over the past few years I've gradually put on a couple of stone, and have now decided enough is enough! I've hired a personal trainer for 12 sessions over 6 weeks and I am going to fully throw myself into this (hopefully!).

I have one of my best mates weddings this year, and hopefully will be going on my first beach holiday in yonks, so the last thing I want is to look back at pictures and feel like a fatty.

My current info and measurements are...

Height 5’1’’
BMI 27

Calf - 34
Inner thigh - 63cm
Hips - 86cm
Around Bum - 103
Waist - 68
Chest - 87
Top arm - 27

I'm not entirely sure what my weight is at the moment but I can post that up in the next few days.

My aim is currently to get my bmi down to 23, other than that I just want to slim down and tone up!

I took some before photos last night (which were a bit shocking I have to admit), but I don't have the guts to put them up yet :blush5:, maybe in the future!

So here we go!!

I haven't actually, although I can imagine it being something she'd talk about :). Thanks very much and good luck to you too! x

Right, stage one is in full flow. Currently chucking out all my leftover Christmas chocolate and general naughty food. Then its time for a bit of online food shopping I think!

Ok, so today is the day I am really going to kick the healthy eating off. No sweets or alcohol or chocolate. Just no! I'm ordering a big healthy online food shop with lots of veggies!

The plan for today

Breakfast: Smoothie: 1 banana, 1 apple, spinach and orange juice

Snack: 1 apple

Lunch: Pasta, vegetables and chicken

Snack: 1 banana

Dinner: Home made cottage pie (i've got lots left over that need eating up!) with roasted vegetables

Also I'm going to try drink more water, generally I am REALLY bad at that!

Fingers crossed! Good luck to you all today x

I had my first personal training session on Tuesday. My trainer has me doing 'tabata training' which is kind of like interval training. I did a series of exercises (kind of similar to sit ups, push ups but a bit more complicated) with short rests inbetween. Was pretty painful at times but I'm sure it'll be worth it!

I stretched for about an hour afterwards so I'm not aching too much now. Tonight I have to repeat the exercises on my own, then tomorrow I have another training session - woo!

In terms of food I'm doing really well I think :) My trainer has told me to eat either weetabix or porridge in the morning, a big lunch and a smaller dinner with no carbs (and obv healthy snacks inbetween). So far so good! Although I am finding it quite difficult to have my main meal has lunch? Has anyone else had trouble with that?

Hope you are all doing well!

Just had my second personal training session and wowee! That was HARD! Going to have to push myself really hard to keep going at this, I just keep thinking about wearing some nice denim shorts and a bikini in summer :)

Eating is still going well, I've been craving these amazing bagels that you can get down the road from me though.. I suppose it's not the worst treat in the world now and again!

Hi becky,

Looks like you're doing well on the food and exercise front... I also dont drink enough fluids so I really should make that an aim.

Well... one thing at a time right? ;) Rome wasn't built in a day! x

Haha exactly! I really like soda water, so if I have that to hand I'll glug lots of it!

The thing I'm finding hardest at the moment is no carbs at dinner. I'm finding it really difficult to come up with different meals. I'm getting so sick of steamed veg every night :ack2: Can anyone recommend any nice recipes?

I am very VERY pleased with myself today! We have been doing tabata training for a couple of weeks using 4 exercises. Today we put all the exercises today (to create 8) so I was doing twice as much as normal, and I got through it! Very chuffed, it shows my fitness is really improving.

Decided this weekend I am going to hunt down some yam noodles to have with dinner. Missing my dinner time carbs :(
