No More Excuses, I'm going to do this!

Yeah, it's a bit of a bummer. My mom suggested retaking them, but I have a feeling my fiance won't want too and of course it'll cost more money... : / I do think I'll really try to start taking more pictures of us now though. Those are always free! I'll try to find some good pics of me that show my weight loss well. I think it will be really noticeable in my face.

It was rainy today and cold, so I didn't run. I plan on going home and doing the total gym though! Ran yesterday with an improved mile time of 10:33 so feeling really good about my progress.

I'll try to dig up some pictures when I get home!

That's was my before picture taken Easter 2011

This is me today. I can't really see a difference, but I can tell it because I'm fitting into clothes I couldn't when that first picture was taken.

BEWARE!!! The second pic I'm just in my bra and underwear.. Sorry, couldn't find the same shorts!

This was when I was when I was feeling my worst..

This was taken today (Ash Wednesday if your curious as to the smudge on my forehead)

AYay Munch!! Good job posting progress pics!! You should not be nervous though, you're looking awesome and I don't know what you're talking about because I can see a big difference! Your face is so slim! And you can see all that hard work you've been putting in on your total gym because your arms and tummy have so much more tone! Ahhh! You're gonna look so damn good in your wedding dress! So excited!! :hurray:

Is that your fiancé? You guys are super cute together :D

Keep that motivation, Munch! It's obviously paying off!

Wow, you are doing great Munch..and what a cute couple! I can see the weight loss in your face and hips! I agree with Sparked that you are really going to rock that wedding dress and turn that frown (on your skinny face!) into a big smile!

Keep up the good work!!

Sarah

Aw thanks guys!!! I decided yesterday that I'm feeling so good and confident with my body that I'm going to get a bikini for the honeymoon! I know I'm not a supermodel type, but my fiance would love it and I feel confident enough in myself to wear one. Was able to wear another pair of pants that I haven't been able to in a long time yesterday and it was awesome! My fiance says he can tell I'm really happy and he keeps encouraging me.

Oh and yes, that's him in the first picture. Love him so much!

I pushed my dress fitting back until March 31st. So I've got a month to do all I can. I'm going to feel great regardless of where I am by then. Anything more than I am now is icing on the cake!

So it's my birthday on Sunday. We're going out to Red Lobster for lunch on Saturday (I love lobster!) then to Texas Roadhouse on Sunday. My fiance is making me a cake and I'm really excited. It's going to be a great weekend. I wish it was Friday already!

Well I'm off to look at swim suits online!!!!

So I bought a bikini today!!!! I'll be posting pictures later. It's black and the bottom is boyshort style instead of the typical bikini bottom. I'm not saying I look like a supermodel, but I feel pretty darn great in in!

Tomorrow is Red Lobster for lunch, YUM. Then Sunday is my birthday. I'll be 22. It's going to be a great week. Probably won't be on here until Monday so everyone have a great weekend!

AA freaking bikini?? Awww Munch that is soo awesome!! I bet you look great in it, can't wait to see pics!

Oh and happy birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wanted to put that little party emoticon, but I'm on my phone and I can't, sooo just imagine it's here throwing you a mini celebration : D

Happy Birthday Munch!! :cheers2:

What a way to celebrate...a bikini, Lobster and steak...and on top if that, your great self confidence and in love!! :beating:Just doesn't get any better than that! So proud of you...you're looking great and obviously feeling great too! I really enjoy reading your diary...and getting motivated myself by reading yours! Have a great weekend and enjoy all the time with your fiance and birthday celebrations!

Sarah

Thanks Sparked and scbibhouse. :)

Red Lobster was a little disapointing. Their lobster was tasteless and the shrimp was ok. I loved the snow crab legs, but they forgot them with my order, so by the time I got them they weren't very warm. Texas Roadhouse was better, but I ended up getting an upset stomach at the end of the meal. We were planning on visiting with my fiances parents afterwards, but I had to go home due to the need to run to the bathroom multiple times. :( So I ended up being sick on my birthday. Seems like it happens every year. But as a whole the weekend was good. Got a few t shirts, a pair of socks, some stuff for my car and a knife block set for the kitchen. Oh and my fiance baked me a delicious chocolate cake. It was good, but I limited the amount I had of it. :)

Didn't weigh in, completely forgot, so I'll try to do that one of these days this week. I'll also take pictures in my bikini and post them! :)

Ugh, had a midterm today that was 220 questions and the professor told us not to worry if we do awful on it.... So I ended up getting 132 out of 220 right. I think there is some sort of curve, so hoping that will bump it up. Otherwise the rest of this semester is going to be awful. :(

Wednesday I have my midterm for earth science which will also probably go horribly. I'll be glad when this week is over and I don't have to think about school for a whole week.

I start a citizens police academy on Thursday night. I'm really excited about it. We'll meet once a week for a little more than a month and learn all about the police department and all the things they do. I've wanted to do this for a few years and am finally able to. This is also a prerequisite for volunteering with the police department, which is also something I've been wanting to do. Both of these things will look great on my resume. :)

Since I was doing my midterm today before work, I'll workout on the total gym tonight while I watch some biggest loser on netflix. It's so motivating watching that show! Hopefully it'll be nice tomorrow and I can get a run in. I know I won't run on Wednesday due to my midterm, so I really want to get out there tomorrow.

I've got a few things to do wedding planning wise. Lists to type up and send off to a few people and inserts to make for the wedding invitations. I foresee that I'll be stuffing and addressing invitations during spring break, lol.

Hope everyone is starting off the week well! I had a hotdog, small fry, and small serving of coleslaw from Dog N Suds here in town. I'm pretty sure this is just an Indiana based place. It's one of those old type drive up restaurants where you pull up, order your food and they bring it out and you eat in your car. Very similar to Sonic. Anyways, they aren't open year round, so today was the first day they opened for the season and I just had to have some! It was great!

For dinner I've got a small chicken patty on a biscuit breakfast sandwich, some pretzels, and two girl scout cookie samoas. YUM!

Got my run in today. It was beautiful outside. My mile time was 10 mins and 29 seconds. I'm improving with every run. :) I took pictures of me in my new bikini that I'll post the next time I have the chance. It felt really great. And to add on top of it I weighed in at 152lbs!!!!! I'm so close to being in the 140's again AND 7lbs away from no longer being considered overweight according to my BMI. That will be an amazing accomplishment, I really can't wait.

I've been rewarding myself with new clothes, so another shopping trip will be in order once I meet that goal. :)

Awesome mile time! Keep workin' at it girl. It's AMAZING how much endurance you can build up if you push yourself. Way to go :) And congrats on the weigh in! Club 140's is right around the corner ;)

Way to go Munch!!!! You are awesome girl! I'm so happy for you and congratulations on the Bikini and the weight loss!! That is so great! I can't wait for you to get there too...way ahead of me and so encouraging at the same time! One of these days I'll be where you are now...it's still a ways away for me yet..but I know I'll get there with people like you encouraging me and reinforcing me along the way!

Thanks and keep up the good work!

Sarah

Yep, I'm going to keep chugging along at it. I can't wait till I can run a mile in under 9 minutes. That will just blow me away! :) I haven't seen the 140's in such a long time. It's going to be great. Once I'm there I don't plan on leaving until I get pregant and even then, I refuse to become a women who uses having a baby as an excuse for gaining a ton of weight. I plan on keeping active and staying healthy!

No matter how much you say I motivate you, everyone here motivates me. I see the good stuff your doing and it makes me want to do something so I can post about it! I think even once I get to my goal weight and start maintaining, I'm going stay here. I think I'll need everyone even more then just to keep myself on track. While this is an amazing journey, I don't want to take it again. :)

So for today I completely bombed a midterm exam. I'm not feeling to great about it. However, I just want to mention that I haven't turned to food in my sadness, so I guess that's a bonus. Spring Break is next week and after that the second half of my last semester. I had a 4.0 going in to this, but I don't think I'll graduate with one barring some kind of miracle.

Away for now, just wanted to get a quick post in while I could. Hope everyone is having a better day than me! :)

So I hopped on the scale prematurely today(I know I really shouldn't have..) and I was back up to 155lbs. :( So I'm pushing back my weekend weigh in to Tuesday. I guess it makes sense because I weighed in on Tuesday last week. I'm going to work really hard until then and make sure I really pump out my workouts. I'm sure I'm just over reacting, but I just can't stand seeing that number go back up after a good loss the week before.

My fiance and I had Long John Silvers today. (I know, bad choice) but it's Lent and we pretty much only go there during Lent since we can't have meat on Friday. It was really good. Then a little bit after I got to work I was given a dilly bar from Dairy Queen. Definitely didn't need that, but I ate it. :( ARGH! Nothing more for me today except for water.

Going to pump out some good walking patrols today and do my pushups too.

My fiance is working Saturday and Sunday so I'll get some time to do my workouts and get my house work done. Should be nice. Then this next week is Spring Break for me. Thank goodness because I really just need a break from school work. I'm planning on getting a bunch of wedding stuff done. We're down to almost 3 months now!! :)

Hope everyone has a great weekend. I hope to come back on monday with a good report on my workouts!

Hey ya Munch,

Yep...ya had to do it didn't ya? Just had to get on that scale!! My guess is the sodium in the Long John Silvers was causing lots of fluid retention and that's the cause of the blip up. Don't worry about it and just keep making good food choices and keeping those power walk patrols (with pushups...you're my hero there girl!) and you'll continue to see the progress! Thanks for stopping by my photo gallery by the way...the proof is in the photos...sad but true!

Hope you had a good weekend and didn't get affected by the storms I heard about hitting the heartland of the US, Indiana included.

Sarah

So kinda had a tough weekend. Had a scare with my brother and his girlfriend. She lives in Borden, Indiana which is very close to where the tornadoes wiped out two towns. My brother was on his way to go see her when it happend. Luckily he was ok and so was her and her family. These two towns were virtually wiped off the map, it's crazy.

I then found out on Sunday that one of my cousins was in a terrible wreck. He flipped his truck and wasn't wearing his seatbelt. The truck actually landed on him. He can't move his legs but has arm movement. They think his legs are broken, numerous broken ribs, head trauma, a few fractured vertebret, both of his lungs were puntured. He's been put in a medically induced coma and is on a rotating bed to keep his lungs from filling with fluid.

If your religious, I'd appreciate your prayers, if not any positive thoughts you could send my families way would be greatly appreciated.

I've got to get back into my routine of running and my total gym. I've been slacking. I had some chinese food today, but I order it to go. Which meant instead of getting the buffet and having two plate fulls, I got a to go box and got some white rice, a few variations of chicken (sounds healthy, but I'm sure the stuff covering wasn't!) two grab rangoons (usually eat about 4 or 5 of those) and some pudding and one small puffy dessert thing (it's kinda flaky and when you bit into it, it's very airy.) All in all I'm very proud of this. While I ate most of it, it was significantly less than how much I normally eat. I'm still full from it and don't plan on eating anything for the rest of the day. I'm keeping water by my side for the entire night.

Due to having eaten chinese and the affect the amount of salt I consumed may have on my weight I'm postponing weigh in until Saturday.

I set up the total gym before I left for work, therefore when I get home tonight all I need to do is change clothes and hop onto it and get my workout in. It's also spring break for me which means no school work to do while I'm here at work. I plan on taking advantage of this and going for some one mile power walks throughout the building. There's a ciruit that when you go around twice is one mile, so I plan on doing that at least once a night in addition to my regular patrols.

I think that's about it for now, I've got to get some things done here at work. Hope everyone is having a good start to the week. :)

So I'm dealing with some pretty nasty knee pain today. I've had it all day and just can't get it to go away. This will sound odd, but I have arthritis and I think it must be acting up. It's weird, it'll hit me at the weirdest time. I haven't ran in a few days, so I know I haven't pulled or strained anything. I plan on going home and soaking in the tub for a little bit and then putting some ice on them. Oh and taking some ibprouphen. Hoping that helps and I feel better tomorrow.

Wow.. that's horrible about the tornado, but thank GOODNESS that your brother and his fiancee are safe. I've been reading about it in the paper.. truly horrible stuff.. And I'm SO sorry to read about your cousin. :( Sending prayers and strength in their direction..

On the weight loss front: Keep at it! Maybe just do some exercises that don't involve the knees? Like chest, back, arms, etc? My father also has a slightly damaged knee, but has found that cycling isn't too bad since your knee is mostly supported by the fact your food is resting on the pedal. Either way, I hope your knee stops aching so much soon.. and once again, hugs to your cousin/brother/his fiancee/her family.

Munch,

I'm so sorry to hear about your cousin's accident and I am sending prayers your way for the Tornado victims in Indiana, OH & Ky (where I'm originally from and still have family). I'm grateful you and yours were not affected too much, but from the pictures I've seen it is pure devistation. I can't imagine.

Prayers are going your way

Sarah
