No More Excuses, I'm going to do this!

Thanks scbibhouse. I definitely agree about the prayer. I know this just isn't the time for me to move on at the moment. God has something even better planned for me in the future. Now is just the time to focus on graduating and planning this wedding!


I am proud that I didn't eat because I was sad about not getting the job. I did think about it. I thought, we'll I might go get this for dinner, or pick some of that up.. But then I thought about how it would make me feel afterwards and I decided against it. I was very happy that I was able to get through it well.


I really love my new machine, it's great! I wasn't able to work out today as my fiance and I went to see his family before I left for work, but I'll workout tonight after work. I'm so glad I can do that now. I can arrange working out around the things I do and no matter what, it'll always be open!


I want to start running, but it's so darn cold here. I freeze just walking to my car and I've found the cold air makes my lungs hurt. So I think I'll be waiting for it to warm up before I begin running again.
 
I agree, I'm sure that there is another better job around the corner!! Gives you more time to focus on your wedding and study (and healthy eating!!)


Wish there was some cold weather here, it's around 40 degrees celcius every day right now... has been more too!! Too hot to walk outside. Blah.

Sorry to have been gone so long, thanks so much for checking in on me and all your super kind words :) It looks like you're doing great, so exciting about that total gym!! I really want to get a recumbent exercise bike in this house so I've been scouring craigslist for good deals nonstop, I always do much better when I don't have to go somewhere to work out. Sorry to hear that you didn't get the job you applied for :( I have been on the job hunt myself and it's been tough, seems like every position I find there are 10 other people with like PhD's lined up to get the job, ahhh dumb economy. But, it sounds like a good thing for you, you get to focus on school and enjoy all the time leading up to your wedding!


So did you end up watching Dexter?? Whaddya think, huh??
 
Oh, yeah. Definitely keep an eye out on Craigslist. I'm always finding good stuff on there. I understand what you mean about the economy, it makes getting any kind of job difficult. Ugh!


Alas, we only got to once one or two of this seasons episodes. We don't have the greatest internet, so it was so choppy you'd miss entire scenes. But we loved what we were seeing! We're just going to patiently wait for it to come out on DVD. I like that better because we can go through the whole season within a few days! lol


How did your finals go? And how are classes this semester going for you?


I weighed in on Sunday and was 155lbs!!!! Yay! Been using my total gym almost everyday. Took the weekend off, but am going to use it in a few minutes. I have a lot of work to do this week for classes, so going to be a little stressful.


Lunch is going to be some frozen pizza and dinner I'm not too sure yet. Will update later this evening with calorie counts.

Just finished my workout on the total gym. I can definitely feel my upper body strength increasing. I love having my gym in my house, it's great!


Lunch is going to be some fish fillets- 360cals

dinner will be a lean cuisine pizza-around 300 cals

weight watchers ice cream dessert-140 cals

snack-ham sandwich and bag of chips-510


about 1320 cals. Will have to eat something else when I get off work tonight.

Sounds like that total gym is really working out for you!! (uhhh, no pun intended, really :p) Feeling stronger is such an awesome feeling, if you can do a pushup I'm completely jealous of you! My upper body strength is a little pitiful, it's like my life's goal right now just to be able to do a real pushup, no knees involved!


Aww that's too bad about Dexter, oh well, absence makes the heart grow fonder! Glad you liked it so far, I definitely enjoyed this season more than the last one.


Finals went pretty well. One of my classes was unbelievably hard and it ended up having a fail rate of 37%, so I would have liked to do it better in that one, but given how most other people did, I'm not worrying that much about it. I'm actually not in classes this quarter because I only need one more class to graduate it's not offered until the spring :p So, now I'm just trying to work as much as I can and make some money! Sounds like you have a pretty tough load this time, I know most of my friends who got arts degrees had to do some huge project at the end, do you have to do anything like that?

I did a bad thing today. I weighed myself mid week. Ugh, I always regret it when I see it's went up.. NO MORE OF THAT! Sunday is my weigh day and I just have to wait till then to see how I've done.


I definitely love the total gym. I did two regular pushups today and was amazed at how much easier they were. It's crazy! You'll get there though, I have no doubt. Especially if you're doing both p90x and insanity.


Yeah, we were a little bummed when it wouldn't work right, but we've got netflix so we've moved on to a different show. Now we're going through Deadliest Catch. Love that show! Can't wait for Dexter to come out on dvd though, we'll go into a serial killer binge!!! It's so hard afterwards though when there's no more episodes, we go into withdraw, lol.


Glad to hear things went well with your classes. Sorry about the tough one, but in comparison to many others seems you did well. So good job! Now I'm jealous that you only have one class left! I can't wait to be done!


I'm not in any kind of art degree program. It's an Associate of Applied Science in criminal justice. I do have a large project in a captstone course that I'm taking but other than that, just the normal class projects. Sounds like you're in a Bachelor degree type program. I"m so glad I don't have to go another 2 years!


Didn't get my workout in today, but I think I'll do it tonight when I get home. My upper arms and back were a little sore so I thought I'd lay off it. They're feeling much better now, so a late workout tonight should be fine.


Lunch was a tendercrisp chicken sandwhich and small fries no salt from Burger King for 870 cals

Dinner is a leand cuisine for 300cals and a weight watchers dessert for 140cals

snack is a small luncheable for around 250


Total for the day will be 1560.
 
AHey Munch, congratulations on your weight loss. You're doing really well balancing work, school, counting calories and finding time to exercise!!! It’s quite motivational.:D
 
Thanks Mady, I love hearing I can motivate people! You should probably stop reading because this wasn't the best of motivational days, lol.


I went to a Chinese buffet today. It was so yummy. A planned lunch date with a friend. I know I ate more than I should have and of course, it never sticks with me throughout the day so I had a 230 cal luncheable and am now eating 230 worth or pretzels. So definitely not a great food day for me.


Exercise was good though. Worked out this morning. I'm feeling so much stronger, it's crazy. Went to Dick's Sporting Goods before lunch and purchased a pair of nike cold weather pants and a cute pair of shorts. The shorts were on sale and I knew I wasn't going to just be wearing those cold weather tights by themselves, lol. The tights are black and the shorts are purple. My favorite color. I still need to buy a hat I can wear and some running gloves. I'm also probably going to get a small running pack to put my phone and attach pepper spray to.


I'm really excited about this. Hopefully it doesn't snow or isn't rainy tomorrow so I can go for a short run.


So I guess while food was bad today, the rest has been good. My fortune cookie read something related to investments working out. I recently invested in my total gym and invested today in the cold weather gear, so I'm ready to see results!!!
 
Ran a mile today outside! Used all my new cold weather gear. It was fun, but exhausting. I'm hoping it's nice again tomorrow. Also hope to hit the total gym too.


Been a long day, so I'll try to post tomorrow with more updates.

Woke up today and my back was killing me. Probably from running on the concrete and asphalt. Decided to not go for a run, even though it was beautiful and shockingly warm. I'm talking jacket weather. Pulled out the total gym and after two sets of presses decided to take a day off entirely from working out. My back was just too sore.


I'm hoping I feel better tomorrow and can get in a run, but I'm going to take it slow. Don't want to jump in too fast. So I'll make sure I'm not sore anymore before I go for another run. If I'm only a tad sore I'll do the total gym and push the run to the next day.


for lunch I had spaghetti and garlic toast- roughly 450

dinner- small ham sandwhich, small jello mouse cup, and 100 calorie cracker, pretzel, and cheese it snack pack- 390

coke zero

dinner- michelinas fettuchini alfredo-340 wheat roll- no idea, small dessert treat- no idea.


Not too bad a day even with the roll and small dessert treat.


Really hope I can get a run in tomorrow, so hopefully my back won't hurt!
 
So I was still pretty sore today so I did not exercise. Pretty sure I'll feel fine tomorrow, so I'll get back into it then. I did complete about 10 pushups yesterday while doing a patrol at work. About five times I stopped at a door and completed two pushups. I plan to do this every day, hopefully increasing the number of reps I can do at each stop.

I have a lucheable for dinner-390cals

michelina's macaroni and cheese bake-330


About 1170 so will find something to snack on later to bring that number up to 1500cals.

Good work on multi-tasking and doing the pushups on patrol! Sneaky way to build that upper body strength and increase muscle mass...I believe that helps burn more calories (that's my theory and I'm sticking to it!) Hope your back feels better soon so you can get back at your regular exercise program!

My back felt much better today so I went on a one mile run outside. It was awesome out. Not very cold and blue clear sky. My back is a little stiff now, so I assume I'll feel all of it tomorrow.


Planning on doing the total gym tonight after work as well as my new routine of pushups on one of my patrols here at work. What better way to get better at pushups than by doing pushups?!


I'm so looking forward to the weekend. School has had me busy and my mind is just tired.

So I consumed 960 calories of crap from burger king a little bit ago. ICK!


I was short on time and to be honest was lazy today and didn't feel like making anything.


I had a 230 cal luncheable at home and will have a 330 michelina mac and cheese later tonight.


That brings my total to 1520. While it meets my cal goal for the day, I feel terrible because I ate almost 1000 calories in one meal... I think I'm going to banish fast food places. I almost made it this week, so I know I can go without them. This is frusterating but at least I'm ok calorie wise.


I'm a little sore today from yesterdays run, but plan on going for one tomorrow and working out on the total gym. I'll weigh in on sunday and hopefully see a loss after gaining a lb last week.

Hope you are doing well and feeling well after your exercise! Even after the "ick" of burger king! I had to ban KFC (they are on every corner here in China!) and McDonalds, and my personal favorite...any good pizza place! They are all just too high cal for me right now and like you I don't want to spend all my calories in 1 meal! Too tough to burn them off!

You might try having some fresh fruits onhand for those days when you don't have the time to fix something good. Easier said than done I know...

Ok, so I'm feeling a bit down. Two weeks in a row I haven't lost a thing.. Maybe I haven't been watching calories as closely, I'm not sure. I'm so frusterated. I calculated my calories using this websites calculator and it says to lose 1 lb a week I need 1704 calories. I've been shooting for about 1500 so maybe I need to try upping it to 1700 in addition to my exercise and see what happens.


I haven't ran since last week and used the total gym halfhazardly yesterday. I need to get my motivation boosted and a loss this week really would have done that. I'm going to weigh tomorrow morning. I weighed on saturday and was around 156 157. I woke up with my fingers swollen. That never ends with a good weigh in. Hopefully I'll be ok tomorrow morning and can get a bit of a more accurate weight.


I woke up with a monster of a headache today, so no exercise happend.


For lunch I had some chicken-450

dinner-ham sandwhich luncheable-390

snack-cracker luncheable-230


Not sure where the other 630 cals will come from but I will get them in somewhere.


Hoping the week gets better as this one has started out bad with the weight issue, my headache, oh and I forgot to mention my neighbor hit my car and didn't tell me about it. I confronted them today and got insurance info. Tried calling them and had to leave a message so hopefully I'll here something soon. No dents that I could tell, but a lot of paint damage. My poor car..
