No Losing Weight

Hey guys,
I have a question if someone can answer it for me. I started going to GYM since 1 month. I have been doing cardio for like 30 minutes like 5 days a week. I am 5'3 and weight 139. My question is that why am i not losing any weight. Is it because because i am gradually gaining muscle mass. N e suggestions. I have been doing treadmill for 30 min and then weight lift doing chest, triceps, biceps and back.

Thanks for all the suggestions :)

Could be a few reasons.

Most people, when they first start training, don't see many changes the first month because rather than losing weight/building muscle, their body is making skeletomuscular and neuromuscular adaptations to the training. This basically means that your bones and muscles are adjusting to the new strains you're putting them under, and your brain is connecting the synapses required to perform the training.

I'm curious, when you weight lift, do you work the same muscles every single day? Your muscles won't grow unless you give them time to rest from time to time.

no i m try not to train the same muscle groups two consecative days. i atleast give 1 day rest in between. I am really down because i came to the gym with a determination to lose weight and get in tone but infact i am gaining weight. Also i try not to eat bad food so i dont really know what wrong :(

Like I said, don't worry about your first month. There aren't fast results, there are only good results :) Give it another month, you WILL see a change if you keep it up.

losing weight

In all actuality you really should be working out for 45-60 minutes. You dont start to burn fat until after the first 20 minutes. Also make sure that your checking your heart rate and that it is consistant and it needs to stay at your target heart rate at all times in your workout session. So you need to calculate what your target heart rate is to burn fat and keep it at that. You can do it.
