No Excuses! Losing the Last 20!

I'm a newbie here :D . My name is Ash and I am on a mission to lose 17lbs. by April 25, 2010.

My Stats:
Current Weight: 135lbs.
Height: 5’3”
Goal Weight: 118lbs.

I plan to update this diary frequently with positive posts and hope to receive motivation and constructive criticism from other forum members such as you :) ! Oh, did I mention that if I make my goal I will be rewarding myself with a trip to Vegas?? Not to shabby for motivation, eh?

My main area of focus is my belly. I hold all of my weight in my abdomen and have always found it difficult to lose weight in that area. If anyone has any suggestions for abdominal exercises or diet tips to help “whittle my middle” I would greatly appreciate it!

Again, thank you for reading! I will post my measurements tomorrow and pictures when I can figure out how to!

Hey, nice one with the trip to Vegas when you reach your goal! (Not jealous, much!)

Can't help with the tummy... obviously I'm significantly bigger than you and only just starting to lose weight, but I know I will have the same problem as that's where I'm carrying a lot of my lbs!!

You've lost so much already... can't imagine getting down to your weight, you must be really pleased with yourself. :)

WOOHOO Vegas!!!! :party:!!! That is one GREAT Vacation!!! :)!!!! I love it there!!! :cheers2:!!! You are doing so wonderful so far and I can just imagine how fantastic you already look and will continue looking at your goal weight!!! Right now, I would love to be where you are!!! :D!! You will get to goal in no time!!!

Hey! Congrats on the loss so far! You have come a long way already and I know you can reach your goal!

About the belly fat.. there's really no exercise that is going to get rid of that specifically but I know that from lots of cardio mine has tightened up a lot! Combined with crunches... I suggest you try and cut out those frozen lean cuisine meals (those have a lot of sodium, and sodium with make you bloat) and try to stick to protein for dinner. Cereal for breakfast and dinner on a regular basis may help you lose weight quickly but I don't think it's healthy. Try to add lean meat and veggies to your dinner. Try to stay away from carbs at night. Also, if you stick to the same routine of eating every day, your body will get used to it and your weight loss will stall. It's all about variety :) I'm sure you know all this stuff, maybe you don't, I don't know... I mean you have gotten this far by yourself already!

We are about the same weight so maybe we can help each other out to reach our goals :) Try to set some mini goals along the way so that 17 pounds doesn't seem so far from you! I find that it helps a lot :)

You might have read through it already, but you should check out Melissa's journal. She is your height and I'm guessing around your age (early 20's?) and went from the 150's to the 120's trying to reach a similar goal to yours.... here is her diary if you'd like to check it out, it's where I got my inspiration from!

It looks like you've been doing so well! Your pictures a re a HUGE inspiration to me! I'm at about your starting weight now and you look fantastic at 135! I can't wait til I get there! Keep up the good work!!
