no broad shoulders!

hey people
i have something to ask. i have these small weights at home which i use to tone my arms. i want to have nice, firm arms, and i dont want them to be all fleshy and hangy by the time im 50. but theres one thing, i dont want this weight lifting thing to make my shoudlers broader. is there anyway i can use them so they will not make my shoulders and broader but will just tone my arms?? please help.

Your shoulders shouldn't get too broad from lifting weights. Women just don't have the hormones to gain like men do. Also, by reading your previous posts, you don't seem to eat much anyway. Those two combined, you won't see much growth and you should tone a bit.

Also, if you're aiming to just tone your arms, most bicep and tricep exercises won't affect your shoulders.

Agree with the above. Lifting lighter weights typically does nothing for you. There are times when lighter weights are better (first starting out, lifting lighter weight for longer rep ranges- works on endurance and NOT toning).

You cannot change your bone structure- hips, shoulder, etc. You won't get broader :)

if your bone structure is broad then there's nothing you can do about that but i can't thnk of any arm exercises that stress the deltoids if you do them correctly anyway

1. Even if you lift heavy weights, you wouldnt pack on muscle unless you consumed more and more calories.
2. Small weights wont make you big even if you was eatting the right amount of cals.
3. you're not just gonna wake up one morning to find that your shoulders have doubled in size. work heavy, grow muscle and if you find that you dont like what you see in the mirror just stop. You'll probably be very surprised at how you would look with bigger shoulders. Girls think that it will make them look masculine, but it can make you look great. will also make your waist look smaller.
