Nibbit's Diary

Oh yes, I've had gezpacho before and it sure is filling.

Haha, I had an air freshener that smelled like lavander and comfort.
WHAT IS COMFORT SUPPOSED TO SMELL LIKE ?! :D

Night night !

Hahaha! Silly names! But I love lavender :beating:

On a random note, this is my fourth day (I think!) on the juice fast and I've already got a bit down halfway of my weight plateau! It had never ever been so easy before.

Before I turned 'vegan', I would eat eggs for the huge surge of that bad kind of protein and saturated fats (from the yellow part) because my mom (who is a nurse) convinced me that it was because I lacked protein. That method took several days to beat the weight plateau and I've come to learn that I wasn't lacking protein at all. Its weird, my mom is an RN and I teach her about foods. Its cool how going on a diet teaches you so much about how the human body works.

Totally random, sorry! Anyway, I dont want to get too excited because I know that once the juice fast is over and i start to slowly transition back onto chewy foods, that a couple kilos will sneak back on, only to disappear as the diet progresses. My main target is smashing 73 kilos to bits so I never get back there again!

Today, I hoped on the scales (just out of curiosity) and was tickled pink to see 72.4 kilos (159 pounds!). HELLO 150's!! It makes me super happy as this is a milestone and a goal I've been trying to reach for over a month! Yes, stuck at 73 for a long time! I seem to hit weight plateaus every 10 kilos are so. I had one when I was 82 kilos, and another one when I was 90 kilos.

How do ya'll deal with weight plateaus?

Sometimes they are so frustrating, but you just have to show that fat whose boss and convince your body that fat doesn't rule! But sometimes, it can really get you down if its a weight that's stubborn as hell and won't leave.

Today's menu:

Breakfast:

Freshly squeezed orange juice from 3 oranges. YUM!
A fine cup of espresso served in a cute cup.
2 clumpys of raw sugar to accompany the espresso.

Lunch:

Raw Garden Soup

1 cup of green lettuce
1 tomato
1 stalk of cerlary
1 clove of garlic
1 sweet apple
1 nectarine
1/2 Yellow Bell pepper
1 green forest onion
oragano
rosemary
basil
sea salt
fresh ground pepper
2 tbsp basamico vinegar
2 tbsp sesame oil
(Not that yummy!)

To drink with my Lunch, I had peach and orange juice again (yum!)

Supper:

Really orange 'soup' lol.

3 carrots
1 nectarine
1/2 of yellow bell pepper
1 tomato
Juice from one orange
1 tblsp olive oil with garlic
2 small cloves of garlic
1 cerlary stalk
sea salt
freshly ground pepper
a bit of cayenne pepper
1 tblsp balsamic vinegar

Use blender on everything till its all smooshy.

This was not very yummy! Just a clear warning to anyone that wants to try it. Its probably best to use a juicer instead of a blender! I will be doing that from now on except with gezpacho. :p

Hi Nibiit!!! Wow congrats...on BREAKING that PLATEAU!!!!!! YAY!!! for the 150's!!! You are sooo making me wanna try your juicing!!! :iagree:

I love the RECIPES!!! :beating:......

Curvie Girl! I think that is an awesome idea! When I am done with my own personal weight challenge, I think that my lifestyle will be something similar to 80% raw 20% cooked. You get a lot of healthy stuff, but also a bit of guilty pleasure in the end :reddevil: .

Hey Alta! Thank you for posting :D. The more the merrier :biggrinjester: . I'm SOOOOO Happy to make it to the 150's! Now to make it drop even more to the 130's lol. This was my toughest weight plateau yet. I hope that I am through with them!

I throughly suggest juicing! I'm still learning and experimenting. My garden soup yesterday was horrible and my dinner wasn't that great either. But I COMPLETLEY recommend the gezpacho! I'll be making that one again :p.

I got on the scales again this morning. (Couldn't help myself, I'm scared to reach 73 again.) And my weight gone up only slightly! 72.7. But that is to be expected when juicing. I also didn't workout yesterday, Instead I cleaned my house from top to bottom. That was more than enough for a workout I believe.

Meals will be posted later! I'm just now getting my coffee in. That is one non-raw pleasure that I cannot give up :p.

Today's Menu for Juice day number 5!

Breakfast:
Juice of Lemon

Juice of one Blood Fruit (um, dutch. I dont know the real english name for it, but its really sweet)

Espresso with 1 (yes, I'm forcing myself to cut down) clumpy of raw sugar.

Lunch:

Juice from 3 carrots
1 stalk of cerlary
2 nectarines
1 apple
and a about 1 cup of purple grapes.

Very yummy!

Supper:

Well, I haven't started with the mostly raw thing yet.....tomorrow maybe? ;)

The weather is foggy and chilly, and while I used to run hot all the time, the yoga and breathing exercises and meditation is "cooling" me, or at least lowering my blood pressure I think, making me want warm things. But I DO want to be more raw soon....SOON......

Plateau-busting girl! Cheers to you! :beerchug: (with Kombucha--sorry but to me, coffee is just NASTY :p)

That is the sad thing for me. I know coffee is nasty! But there is something about it that makes me have just one tiny cup a day. Its a small cup too. So it can't be that caffeine. I don't know what it is. But I love rooibos tea. I'm addicted to that stuff!

I saw one of my friends from my yoga class yesterday. I really miss it, but I'm going to wait to start it again next year. I want to show up after reaching my weight goal :p. I do a little yoga at home though, just to keep up with it and keep it habitual.

I envy you! You have reached a sense of peace that I'm still looking for. You are really inspiring!

Oh, by the way, today I am 72.1. A NEW LOW. Though, I am trying to not get too excited. I know that after a juice fast, a little weight sneaks back on. We'll see :p.

Today is day 7 of the Juice 'Feast'. I forgot to do the menu for yesterday, but it was basically the same! I kinda forgot what i had but I did have my daily value of fruits and veggies!

So far today, I have had:

Breakfast:

Juice from 2 carrots
1 tomato
1 large pear
2 small apples
1 banana

espresso with two raw sugar clumpys.

Snack:

Mango and guanabana juice.

Lunch:

Oh, by the way, today I am 72.1. A NEW LOW.

Coffee probably isn't inherently nasty  I just hate it and have since I was in my early teens. I was addicted to it most of my life until I was 19 and a half, when I quit it forever. haha, I quit smoking cigarettes and drinking coffee at the same time on 4-4-2001. Glad I never went back :hurray:

Envy :troll: Not very yogic :p Tee hee hee! Just playin' :D Thank you for the kind words, and YOU are inspiring me ME too :).

Hurray for the new low!

Its funny you say that!

I started smoking (due to peer pressure from my ex) when I was 13. I quit when I was 23. Can you believe that? So young, yet have been smoking for a decade! :(

At that time I was having some serious breathing issues and random nosebleeds and chest pains all the time. But I wanted to quit and Robbie was there (again) to help me through it.

How cheesy :ack2:

But that was the BEST thing I could have done....quit the stupid ciggerettes. I don't judge anyone who smokes, BUT now I hate the smell of ciggerettes and honestly break down into a horrible coughing fit when I smell smoke. They must think I'm crazy....but they just dont know what ciggies had done.

As far as coffee goes, my Nanny (grandma) gave me coffee when I was a little girl as a treat. She used to use a little coffee in a lot of milk and sugar. I never drink it like that anymore, obviously, but I think she has helped in my 'MUST HAVE ONE TINY CUP A DAY' addiction to coffee :p.

I had a raw breakfast today. The Raw Bakery 100% certidied organic vanilla cakes. They don't taste good and I don't like the texture, but I ate them anyway: golden flax seeds, dates, agave, vanilla. Hmmm, no wonder--how delicious can flax seeds be, anyway?

Glad you quit smoking! I am addicted to yoga now and it's the best addiction of my life. I have never witnessed myself be so in the present and not in my head--amazing! :hurray: Hope you lose that weight like you want to, and feel great being raw! :beating:

Dang it, lol. You finally popped in and I missed it. So did we lose ya to world of warcraft for good? Cuz I know when I was playing I didn't do ANYTHING else on the computer. After 7 years I'm finally over mmorpgs though, lol. Although the xbox console games are another story...the new Fable game is awesome. I don't have time to play right now though but good thing about those is you don't have to stay "caught up" with a guild or anything. Anyway hope you pop in again soon :) Let us know how you're doin

Let me guess....it's sunny and warm and you're havin a great time :) I'm currently freezin my butt off but hope that you ARE enjoying some fun. Hope you pop in soon to let us know how you're doin :seeya:
