Newbie, looking for a New Me

Funmom - that restaurant is known for putting fries on everything. And I do mean everything. As for the Wii Fit - the seem to be out of stock everywhere, just like the units were at Christmas time. i'll keep looking though, who knows, I might get lucky.

The grad party was nice. Good to see relatives that we don't get to see too often. Did ok, not great, but ok. I think we are now done until the wedding on the 26, so maybe I can start to make some progress.

Yesterday we finally got the rest of the tile put up for the Kitchen back splash. Now it just need grouted. I can't wait to get my kitchen back full time. It's such a wreck in there.

Eating has been ok, but I'm still retaining some fluid. hopefully that will be gone soon.

Tonight is yoga, can't wait. If the weather holds, we are going to do it outside. I love doing it out there. hopefully we will be able to do the "hot" yoga too.

I'm going throw peoples diarys skimming through them reading up on what people talk about. Trying to get a feel for what this online diary thing is all about. From what I read it sounds like what you are doing works for you :) I'm glad you and so many other people are so strong willed with there, getting in better shape! Keep up the good work!:hurray:
 
Danny - I hope you start your own diary. It is a neat way to do it. you get actual feed back and that helps a lot. Haven't had a lot of people on mine yet, but hopefully more will come. Thanks for your vote of confidence in me. It really helps. I'll be looking for you.
 
ok, so I go WI here in a little bit. Have a feeling I will be up a little bit, but that's ok. I'm finally getting the fluid off and I was up a whole lot more on Sunday.

Friday is my DS's 21st BD and my DD is planning on making dessert. She wants to make a trifle. Not a fruit one mind you, but brownies, chocolate mousse, Reese's PB cups. My DS loves Choc and PB. Plus we will be going out to dinner. It's going to be a rough day.

My plan though is to be a on top of things as I possibly can be before and after Friday night and hopefully I won't do too much damage.

Good luck with your WI! I'm sure it's going to be fine. Whenever people talk about trifles I always think about the one Rachel made on "Friends", the banana meat thing haha!

If you splurge a little for your DD's bday you will still be fine. I pigged out the other day at the melting pot but the next day I was right back at it in the gym and I didn't see any gain (no loss either, but I was just happy I didn't add to the total).

ok, so I'm officially going the wrong direction. I was up 1.6 today at WI. Not exactly what I was hoping for. Then this afternoon, my colon decided to rebel, had it done it sooner, I probably would have maintained. LOL

There is always next week. I'm continuing to work and I hit the gym right after. I won't give up. I'm going to make it come hell or high-water.
 
Well my tummy issues paid off on the scale. I peeked today and I'm down 2 from yesterday. Now the bigger question is if I can keep that 2 and add to it or if it will disappear today.

Lots on my plate again to get done and it's rainy here. GRR We need sun.

Breakfast was: smoothie, made with homemade plain LF yogurt 6oz, 1/2 cup skim milk, 1/2 scoop choc whey protein powder and 1/2 raspberries. 1/2 Ezekiel muffin with 1/2 Tb of peanut butter.

Ugh, colon issues. That is the worst. The absolute worst is when you go to the gym or start to run and your tummy starts acting up...I've had to stop and leave the gym early!

Congrats on the down 2 from yesterday! You are definitely going to make it!
 
Dawn - thanks for the encouragement.

Eating today was pretty good. I did splurge this morning and had a cinnamon roll at the place I volunteer. Wasn't going to, but I had to leave early. DD called freaking out that she didn't feel well and she was scared etc. She's almost 14 and very dramatic sometimes. By the time I get home she is fine.

Then I broke two glasses and had to clean up glass everywhere, I was trying to empty the dishwasher. LOL

Lunch was a sandwich of 2 slices of rye bread, 2 slices of swiss, and tomato with mustard, some baby carrots and 1 c. watermelon.

Dinner was grilled chicken, couscous salad and corn

This afternoon I had 1/2 c of blueberries.

Forgot to mention I had a string cheese with the cinnamon roll, to keep my blood sugar from spiking.

Over all, not a bad day.

I never made it on here yesterday. Work was brutal and I didn't make it to the gym. However, I met two different friends to walk and ended up walking a total of 115 min, so I guess that kind of made up for the gym.

Eating has been great. Tonight will be more difficult with the BD dinner and dessert, but I will keep this weight down. I'm not going to ruin all of my hard work.

Got on the scale today and I'm down another 1/2 pound:) i'll take whatever I can get.

I've got a busy day ahead. DS, GF will be here right after lunch. I have to take care of the xtra puppies and she's allergic to dogs. I need to vac really, really well and the guest room needs done. My head is swimming just thinking about it all.

I’ve had exhausting days at work to the point where I don’t feel like doing much of anything! You’ll be right back in the gym I’m sure, and good for you for getting some walking in. Every little thing counts!
 
Dawn - finally a decision was made as to where we are going to dinner. I checked out the menu on line and I can get a good salad, which I just may do. As for the gym, yep, I'll be right back there tomorrow. I was bummed to miss, but it happens sometimes.

I am the queen of checking menus before we go anywhere! It's always good to plan out what you're going to be getting so you have it set in your head before you go.

Dawn - I stuck to my plan and got a salad, it was a special and not on the regular menu. Great mixed greens, grilled chicken, strawberries, grapes, pecans, olives, tomatoes. yum. Barely used any dressing as it didn't need it and only ended up eating 1/2. Delish. We did split an appetizer, stuffed hot banana peppers. That was good too, but a bit salty, so I'm holding fluid today. Oh and we went with the express purpose of my DS's 21st BD, so I did have the beer sampler, 3-4oz glasses of 3 different brews. It was nice.

My DD's dessert she made was divine. I only had a small portion, but you didn't need more than that. I feel good about how I handled yesterday. YEAH Me:hurray:

I will be off to the gym here in a little bit. I will work off at least part of what I ate yesterday. LOL

I feel strong and I'm looking forward to a good loss this week.

I love salad like that! Were did you go to get it? If you have a Boston's? If you do I recommend the CHIPOTLE CHICKEN & BACON SALAD I'm sure it can't be to bad for you haha? Thats what I had on my Birthday. Its my fave thing in the WORLD! What I do is I get it with Ranch and Guacamole and no Bacon. Then its a salad with chicken Ranch and Guacamole. So would that be bad? I know Ranch is not to great but I try to put little ranch and more guacamole haha...Sorry I went on a rand again...I'm a salad FREAK! Where did you get yours? Sounds SO good!:drool5:
 
Limited - the place is called Bocktown Beer and Grill. Just a local joint. I've heard of Boston's but none around here. You salad sounds good. Guac is ok, but high in cals, but loaded with good fats.

The gym was great this morning. I tried the cycling/spin class. It was a first and I loved it.

Off to the grocery to stock up on some more good food.
