Newbie Diet! Questions?!

have you read any of the stickied threads around the forum? Start in nutrition... then go to exercise... Spend some time reading then answer your own questions and reevaluate your plan

Personally, I wouldn't make a habit of completely skipping your diet one day of the week, every week. It's ok to splurge every once in a while, but once a week is pushing it.

Welcome to the site, by the way. :seeya:

3 main keys to lose weight: eating, exercise, lifestyle. it is easy to say but hard to do.
I can't change my eating habit, so exercise cant help me lose much.

Focus on the diet first. Get comfortable with cutting foods out first. If you jump right into it including exercise you might find it too hard and give up. Introduce exercise slowly, keep going for your walks, but enjoy them, don't push yourself.
I wouldn't use sunday as a break every week, your body will just get used to it and you won't lose weight as fast or maybe even not at all. Do enjoy your self though, it doesn't need to be torture! and don't forget to mix up your meals a little. I know people probably want to kill but cause I am always raving about this site groovybluetees.com but it is a fountain of information.
I'm 20 aswell and really wanna shed the excess 100lbs for my 21st! and in a few months I've lost 3st! just a few to go! I use weight watchers, they are fantastic.
Anyway, best of luck to you! :)
Take care,
Vilandra.

P.s. Can someone pleasetell me how to add my ticker to this site? Ive tried every variation of the code and it ain't working! thank you. :)

am i the only one thinking too few calories??!!!! i counted 950 FOR THE DAY!! wow! you should be able to eat 1200-1400 cals broken up over 5 meals, and still lose... if it is the proper foods. are you losing?

No, I agree with you Nancy Kay! Seems like way too little intake for the amoutn of exercise. The body needs fuel for your metabolism :)
