Newbie advice please!

Hello guys im new to the forum as you can tell. I have started Bulking up to become bigger so that i stand a better chance when i got back to playing rugby next year. I am currently 6ft and 154lbs, aswell as becoming bigger I want to look good too.

I have been put on a bulking program at the gym the instructor told me that i have to eat right. I have looked over the forums and the general rule i see is that oyu eat about 4-5 meals a day and intake lots of Protein and Carbs. Ill be getting some protein shake power and some bars at the weekend. i tend to snack a lot so these should come in useful.

If there is any advice you guys could give me it would be great.

4-5 is good, 6 is probobly better. Just eat atleast every 3 hours ;)
if you are new, weight training with a fullbody routine 3 times a week i think would be you're best shot. If you dont know already:
Squats
Deadlifts
Rows
pullups,
Bench Press
military press

Cheers, my program is quite challenging there is a lot of work on the shoulders tricepts and bicepts. I was told it will kill me for the first 2 weeks going 3 times a week.

im going to be buling for about 8 weeks and then my program will change to involve more cardio but I dont know much on that yet.

Ill post some pics soon.

I got the program off my Gym instructor, the program is in a little filling cabinet at the gym, so no chance of that happening. I know that I am doing pyramids starting on 12 and working down to 6 reps in the set, the weight is varied for all the things i do:

Shoulder Press
Chest Press
Leg Press
Bicepts
Tricepts
Lats
Shoulders
Lower Back

Ill get a copy of the program when I am nect at the gym.

If they're not having you squat and deadlift, then you need a new program. Concensus has said that for athletes like in Rugby-->
front squat>back squats>leg press
Incline db press>incline bb press>flat bb press
There should be a cycling of power cleans and high pulls
Unilateral leg work should never be neglected
It seems to be missing some RC work
Deadlifts are good but RDLs pwn
And lets not forget box jumps, depth jumps, burpees, db swings, and sprints
