Newbe here - Urgent weight loss required

Hi everyone, this is my first post to the forums and i need some advice plz.

I have just been acecpted into the Police and idealy i would like to lose 2 inches of fat around my belly in 3 weeks.

bit about me.
weight - 80kg (176lb)
height - 174cm (5'9")
age - 28

the last 2 years or so i've gone from 70kg to 80kg. and though i'm still in the healthy range, i'm not really trying to lose weight (though i wouldn't mind losing 5kg), but i want to get rid of my pot belly.. it's not crazy bad, but i wouldn't mind losing 2" off it.

can anyone help me.

in terms of exercise, currently i'm on the tredmill running and playing golf a few times / week.

does anyone have any exercises on how i can get rid of this unwanted fat.

Wow... several stickies explaining how to go about weight loss and you haven't read any? You can't lose you potbellie unless you lose weight so check out the stickies.
 
Full body weight lifting routine 3 days a week. Run Sprints 3 days a week followed by a steady 1.5 mile. Rest one day a week.

And it is not going to happen in 3 weeks. If that is your only goal yo waited too long to start.
 
Oh...and Golf is not exercise that is going to help you lose fat.
Get your diet in order. Yesterday. What did you eat yesterday?
 
There is no magic answer or quick fix. Eat clean/balanced. Lift hard and heavy 3 days a week, HIIT sprints 2 days a week, speed/race walking or another type of heart pumping cardio 4 days a week. Core and strengthening work 6 days a week. 1 day a week completely off. It will take time.
 
The recommendations for sprints or HIIT, while valid, are only applicable if you have a base fitness. Are you prepared for the physical fitness tests to enter the police academy?

Most academies tests to enter are just baseline gauges. Not pass/fail. The test is at the end to graduate from the academy.

Maybe you don't so much want to lose belly fat as to build up some muscles to help you carry it. I find sit-ups helpful.

Aren't you just a smidgen interested in learning what you will be performing (in exercises) at the police academy when you attend? When you learn this and what the requirements are, then you train for what you are about to encounter and be tested for. This is the best approach in my opinion, and from one that has graduated from the police academy (for Kansas) twice.

Do yo know what you are about to face?
