New Year, New Thread for Those who Weigh 200 lbs/90 Kg or More

I wouldn't say I tried the elliptical, more like it tried me!! I can only do it for five minutes at a time, its either really intense, I'm really out of shape or both :p

U tube doesnt come in for me, because I have a modem ..sucks ..
but true ... but thats ok ... I dance sometimes, but I mainly only can walk ..my dancing sucks lol

Hey Nataliejo...I think in the privacy of your home your free to be as free/silly as you want to be...hence my house is my dance studio:biggrinjester: But everything is not for everyone, I have always loved to dance and it is the only type of exercise that I will stick with for some time. Machines are alright too, especially the treadmill, I love the way it makes me feel when i come off of it...its like walking on the moon or something :rotflmao:
 
Hope2: I hope your doing ok(the relation issues). I myself.. kind of got left by my boyfriend since i started to lose weight and started being healthy.. But whatever it is, dont let it get you down! :grouphug:

Pink: Well I dont really like boiled or cooked veggies, I eat em raw, since they dont really have anything bad in them I tend to eat them more than usual :)
And theyre healthy!


Ive got a plan for myself.. I have alist of foods that I will eat each week. First week ill eat 2-3 bread slices in the morning, with coffee, no sugar, no cream, no milk. I like black coffee... mmm coffee :drool5:
Then as a lunch I'll eat an bread, and fish soup ! I love fish !:hurray: and some juice or milk. Then "snack" thing is raw veggies <3
and as for the dinner.. well the last food i'll eat a day, is... dum dum dum! PORRIDGE! or tomatoe salad( green salad, and tomatoe! love it!)!

I dont think thats a bad idea myself... so.. what do you guys and gals think?:bigear:

I think your plan rocks...the only thing i can see is to cut the bread in the morning to 1 or 2 slices. ahdunno really about the porridge in the night, it depends on how late you eat dinner and if you plan to workout after you eat it. BUT I will say I do not know what your diet was like before and if this is really cutting down, even with all the bread and porridge you may still see results.

I play/workout my butt off after school without lunch or without breakfast or lunch sometimes for 2-4 hrs!!!!

I hate those hands on the floor jump out jump in things, though. Sheemoney! What am I? A Monkey?

Now, if I can only work out and diet at the same time, I'll be ready to roll!

Spartacus, I know:iagree:. I believe that's the only part in the DvD's that I skip. LOL. Maybe one of these days I will be able to do them. Well, it's not that I can't do them, I just hate doing them.

Gah, you guys all have this food plan for the week haha. Anyone here besides me that doesnt have any eating plans each week and still lose weight? I feel like im left out haha just kidding guys.

Kevi, I'm like you bud. I don't have a weekly eating plan. I go with my Mom to the grocery store to get food and then my Dad makes meals based on what we buy. But none of it is planned much like yourself.


I bellydance around my house :willy_nilly: There is a set of twins called the bellytwins and they have good lessons. You can youtube them too....

Pink Clouds, I've always wanted to do belly dancing. Is it fun? I met this lady the other day who lost tons of weight doing belly dancing and it got me interested in it.

Anyone here tried the eliptical? it works guys better than walking

Kevi, I have an eliptical in my living room. Out here in Arizona it gets too hot during the summer to want to go out and walk around. So, my mom bought us an eliptical a few months ago. I like it. I can do about an hour on it. Well, I can do more, but I always do it after my workouts so an hour is pretty much all I got to spare before I got to get ready for work.

Natalie Jo, if you got cabel, go to FitTV. Just this last month they have put on a new program dedicated to just Belly Dancing workout routines. I haven't caught it yet, because of the time it comes on, but you should check it out if you can. I'm just waiting for them to get enough episodes to show during the afternoon so that I can check it out too.

April Challenge

Hey Everyone!

I just wanted to know who else here joined that April 2 lbs Weight Loss Challenge. I just did yesterday and it'd be great to know who else did so that we can all support eachother!:hurray:

Anyhoo, I hope today finds all of you in good spirits. Have a kick @$$ evening and for those of you working out today hope that was kick @$$ too!:jump: Good Luck everyone on the weight loss this week!

I eat 2-3 slices rye bread.. I think thats what its called in english.. ( Picture of the bread!! :D )
Usually the bread amount ends up in 1-2 though... I just cant fit it all :)

The porridge, well thats only a tiny bit, and no sugar or butter or other nonsense in it :)

Everyday I do morning excercises, then at day time I dance around.. If you can call it dancing.. :willy_nilly::blush5:. and I walk, and in the evening after food I do excercises, before bed :)

Sometimes I change the foods around, like yesterday, instead of porridge I ate salad.. tomatoes and green salad <3 I counted yesterdays calories, and it added up 1190 cals

Is that belly dancing effective? I could try it ...
Also, sorry for my stupidness but what is eliptical?
My english aint that great, since My main language is Finnish :)

not sure how ill do, but its worth a try. I had a difficult day yesterday (why are females "blessed" with such emotion?)

anyways... i feel im on the right track and something is better than nothing.
I just got my 'Just My Size' Yoga dvd today and hopefully I can implement that into some sort of routine here. im giving it my first watch thru right now. I need to do some serious cleaning in my room before i have room to yoga around there tho...

Your young Kevi! lmao ... of course you will have more energy.

When your younger, doesnt matter what size you are for the most part, you have energy, its as you get older that the energy and the elasticity in your skin goes on the downhill slide. You have to get that energy back, so Pink your doing good, just keep at it hun!

I am not sure myself what an elliptical is, but I do know a lot of peeps use them on the forum...

but I have to say you are doing wonderful on your exercise and diet!!

I decided i'm taking today off from my 45 minute walk.. Tomorrow i start on one hour a day/six times a week... so today is my day off from the last week, i honestly thought i wouldn't take one off, but i wouldn't have any time to get online LOL

Other than that everything has been great! I just wish my hubby would eat that candy faster so it wasn't laying around all the time lol I covered the bowl with a paper towel... yea now i umm dont know it's there hehe!! April 14th is weigh in day,..... i can't wait!!

So are you on the April challenge? I love the two pounds challenges every month .. I just keep going down in weight. Last month I lost four pounds..seven at first, than gained three back lol lost the two already .. I need one more pound and I will be back down lol

And its a good idea to put the paper towel over the bowl ..out of site .out of mind ..thats what I do too ..its tough, but I try ..

So I went on my sixty minute walk ..and it was awesome! My new route is wicked awesome. I thought about going for almost two hours, but I would rather work up to that. So an hour it is to an hour and ten minutes. Tomorrow its supposed to rain allllllllllllllllllllllll day! icks .. I am going to dance inside the house or run up and down the stairs ..but my abs hurt and my right inner leg hurt while going up this massive hill ..my muscles in my legs are really tightening .. I didnt weigh myself today... totally forgot, but feel good about it ..will weigh myself tomorrow.. just to get an idea on how I am doing with my eating ... I am trying to eat four small meals a day ..because thats what they said I needed to do and take both metformin :hurray:

I had an cool day today, exept I ate a bit of chocolate.. I couldnt resist the temptation. Bah well my world will not end to that! Just need to work work work and work out!

So anyway, I was just wondering.. I could start doing that belly dancing aswell.. all though I cant dance at all. If anyone would see me dancing they would probably go blind! wobbly wobbly wobbly.. ah well!

Anyway the question is, How effective is belly dancing, and dancing in general ? Good excercise?
I mean my schedules are a bit tight now days. So was wondering if it would be an good idea to switch something with belly dancing/ dancing :willy_nilly:
