new to the forum, info & question about me and my diet....

hello all, i am new to the forum and this is my first post. anyways, i will let you know what i am doing right now. a few years back i weighed out at 275 pounds and was wearing 1 and 2xl size shirts, just for size reference. well withing the past year and a half, i got down to about 170 just by changing jobs, less stress, eating 1 small snack & larger dinner a day, and not drinking dr pepper like its going outta style. well recently i will admit to being a bit lazier, not eating as healthy and eating more than what i was. well i am at 184 now. now before you judge too quickly go to my myspace page and look at my build, i have a lot of muscle from longboarding and rock climbing.

well just last week i started dieting again, this time i am taking more action, and am older and more responsible, so i will be maintaining to this diet. well i am climbing a lot more, on days i dont climb, i am walking on the treadmill or on the bowflex trying to lose my belly fat. its winter here now, so i cant longboard due to snow and cold. as far as food, i am drinking only 1 diet coke a day instead of 3 or 4, not eating so much, no junk. for lunch at work everyday i am eating some michealini lean gourmet things. they are low on fat and calories, plus they arent much food. i also threw in some hydroxycut this time, and it is helping with my cravings and is really giving me a energy boost. let me know if everything sounds ok or not, and what your advice would be in my situation. thanks!!! glad to be here at the forum, seems like a cool place to be!!!!

My best advise to you is to not focus too much on not eating. A lot of people find that the best way to avoid overeating or to avoid eating bad foods is by simply not eating at all. This is probably more damaging than just eating whatever the hell you want, as it causes your metabolism to be highly ineffective, and your body will actually store more fat since it's not getting any food. To sum up, don't be afraid to eat, just be wise in what you do eat!

Read around the forums and you will come across plenty of nutrition info.

well as i said, i was getting really bad, sneaking to mcdonalds or burger king for lunch, eating greasy pizza and such. and at night eating ice cream. so i am watching what i eat more and becoming more active....

Well, you gotta get a grasp on yourself. How badly do you want to be in good shape? Just remind yourself of that, and you won't even think about getting fast foods and junk foods...
