New Rules..problem

So I'm really starting to progress with this book, but I've run into a bit of a snag.
I'm doing the fat loss 2 workout b and I'm trying to keep the pace, but with excersises like the bulgarian split squat + shoulder press, my workout is slowed by my absolute inability to perform the excercise.

I'm supposed to put on foot behind me on a bench, and do like a lunge while holding weights and performing a shoulder press. I can not even balance doing this without any weights. Can somebody suggest some alternatives that will come close because I have to do this workout plan 2 times per week for the next 4 weeks and I would like to limit my down time.

reduce the weight until you can do them. they are tough and require balance. If you have never done any single leg work before, jumping right into those is going to be tricky. I cant say what to do instead, because im not Alwyn :p
 
Holy cow do I hate that exercise. It's tricky and a pain. I'm can do it, but I don't have to like it :mad:
