New Rules of Lifting question

You know how in the programs every couple of workouts you add weight and lower the reps? How in the world are you supposed to add weights on to an exercise like the russian twists? Am I supposed to just lower the reps without adding weight? I'm confused

I believe Russian Twists is a core exercise I think?. I'm assuming you add a heavier core/swiss ball and then lower the reps.

what is a lower body russian twist? does the book say its a lower body russan twist, if not, i think you should just do a regular one..

Is it one of those where you lie on your back, feet towards the ceiling and lower lower the legs to the side, up again and repeat on the other side? If so, could you hold a DB between your feet?

thats the one, it only takes a light dumbell if you're getting a good range of motion.
