New Layout

All the headings of posts have disappeared - so I can no longer use the past months as a diary .


I have no idea how to edit my posts - don't see anything called 'edit'.


Other than that, it looks nice. But if it is not possible to edit posts there is no point continuing.
 
I'm still getting used to it.


SweatDaily, there is a line of buttons underneath your post, on the left hand side. Starting with a crossed out red circle....there is a button that looks like a little pen as well. That's the 'edit' function.

Nothing wrong. Owners decided to transfer to a different forum provider. Not much we can do about it unfortunately. :(
 
The only thing I dislike about it is the lack of signatures... any plans for them in the future?
 
When things change, sometimes it may take a while to get used to it. I'll keep trying the new buttons and detours out.


If you use this link for the forum --> http://weight-loss.fitness.com/forum/ when you come here, it will be just like it was when you came here before the change. ^_^
 
AI just miss the tickers :(.

It works, shows up in the box when you add the code, but when you submit it's just text/blank.

Such a shame.
 
tickers are a work in progress, but I love the manual one you created :) I think the ETA for the tickers is the end of September.


Sorry about all the changes. We are hoping that the new forum platform will help better inform users with articles, and the like, as well as better monotize it, so that we can start adding some better features, contests, etc.
 
AIs there anything in the works that would allow us to choose between different color templates? I loved the old style message boards. I know when other sites' boards changed over they sometimes had a "classic" option that emulated the prior boards. Are you guys planning to implement something similar in the future?
 
Anyone else find it slightly ironic that the featured sponsers of the forum are fat burners and lapband companies?! Not surprising that people come here trying to promote weight loss pills and stuff when the site has adverts all over it for pretty much the same things! Were these the sponsers before the change? Maybe I just never saw them before. Just found it funny!
 
Yeah, I find that extremely hypocritical, and it makes the mods that try to keep an eye on spam look like complete idiot. But yes, it was there before - on the other forum, it was Hoodia and stuff like that which was advertised, the very stuff that we're trying to tell people not to waste their money on.


I guess it's only spam if the people don't pay for it, if the owners can make money out of it, it's perfectly fine apparently.


A bit disheartening really, but what can you do?
 
I hate it. Thats why I dont come here anymore. It liiks like about 75% of the others dont like it either. Tickers are lost, and navigating is way too difficult. Easy is better...the way it was. Ill come back when its back to normal.

No, I wish. The huddler platform is far from as versatile as vbulletin, but they are rolling out updates on a very regular basis, so maybe this is something that they will ad. I definitely prefer the old layout better, but hopefully this will all work itself out.

Yea, I apologize about the banners. They were part of the old forum, but were targeted to the UK and Canada only and only showing a fraction of the time. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, Huddler decided to show the banners 100% of the time (I think to show other potential advertisers where they can advertise).

The LapBand was something that came with another contract, so we were obligated to show their banners, but we have canceled the contract and they will disappear Dec 31st.

The supplements was a package deal. They were meant to advertise on the bodybuilding forum, but paid us a good amount to advertise everywhere, so we couldn't turn it down.
 
Personally i like the new layout, takes a day or two to get used but so far so good. I like how the ad only take a small portion of the page.
