AHello everyone,
First off I want to start of by saying thank u to everyone who uses this site because it has gave me so much motivation in times of need!!!
Ok a little about me and a few ?'s ....... About 2 years ago I stepped in front of a mirror and took a couple pictures and told myself I had to lose weight I was 5'5 and 200lbs even... That day looking in the mirror disgusted me so I sent those pics to my email and saved them for the after part..... Well I started eating better and exercising some and in no time I was down below 170lbs and then I couldn't tell any difference in my body so I lost motivation and gave it all up I added a few pounds and then about every other week in 2011 I was in the hospital for GERD.....I got down to 160 by December of 2011 from the GERD .... As of January 15th 2012 I woke up and said it's time for change so I started eating healthier and exercising and as of feb 16 th I am down to 151 lbs but still see no change when I look in the mirror but I take pics alot so I am starting to notice some finally so it's helping plus I found them old pics in my email and when I compare then to now I see a HUGE difference lol.. So that's alot of my motivation plus my brother always making comments like ( I'm not use to seeing a skinny person when I'm around u lol) it helps though.......but not for the questions ok I eat anywhere from1400-1500 cals a day everyday (workout days and rest days)........is this enough? I mean I feel full all day I have like three 350 cal meals and 3 100-150 cal snacks a day and I eat at a 40% carbs/40% protein/ and 20% fats .... I am asking is this ok because I don't want to lose all my fat and easily gain it back because I ate to few of cals to lose it......... Also what is a good weight for my height and age I am 5'5 24 years old (next month) and 151 lbs my goal weight I think is 135 I say think cause I have no clue what I will look and feel like at 135 I want to eventually have abs but I don't know if that is possible for me........... I will post up my pics soon

Hi there,

answering to your posed question: first of what you have to do is to calculate your BMI to see how many calories you can consume per day. Of course, your BMI number won't be completele precise cause calculater doesn't take into account your age, physical activity and other features but nevertheless, it will be a kind of a guide for you which I think would help you in a way. You can finf BMI calculater right here http://www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/

Secondly, http://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ehow.com%2Fvideo_6757555_calculate-calories-body-burns-day.html&h=KAQGuN67g here you will be able to count how many calories you burn naturally in one day.

By comparing these two numbers, you can see how much is it that you still have to burn. Or there is also another way, after you calculate your BMI, then BMI minus 500cal and here you will have the amount that lets you to loose weight safely and in a healthy way. Cause to loose one kilo, you need to burn 7000cal.

In consume around 1000 cal by eating 5 or 6 times per day and I walk 2 and more kilometres every second day and do some exercising every other days. This helped me to lose weight in two months and get closer to my goal weight. It's healthy diet. It's healthy lifestyle. :)

I hope this helped
