Hello Everyone! This is my official first diary entry... AND I couldn't be more excited! I am really looking foward to this lifestyle change that I am making. Not only the lifestyle change, but hopefully making some great friends along the way.
I'm going to start off by giving a quick introduction of who I am. I am a 20 yr. old college Junior studying Psychology, Sociology, and Criminology. I LOVE college and getting an education, but I am attending school away from everyone that I love! I am recently engaged to the man that I have been with since I was 15 and in the 10th grade in high school! It is very difficult being in a long distance relationship... but we are managing well. I have been overweight my whole life. Literally since the 2nd grade I have been the chubby kid. I have tried many many diets and the only one that has seemed to work in the past is the eat healthy and work out diet... imagine that.. lol. On a serious note though... I am very ready to change my life for the better. I would love to look gorgeous on my wedding day. Not only for my wedding but MAINLY for my health is the reason that I want to lose weight. My mother and me Fiance's mother both have Diabetes. Both him and I are overweight and we realize how at risk we are for developing Diabetes. So.... here I am.
I am going to answer the questions that I read in the intro message about the diaries now..
I am looking to lose about 80 lbs. I currently weigh 258. In August before I moved away I weighed 271... so it's a start. I really have not been doing to much, due to the fact that I had to deal with my whole life changing. I am hoping to lose the 80 lbs by my wedding, which is July 18, 2009. Anytime earlier would be great too!! The method that I am going to use to lose my weight like I said above with just be eating healthy, working out, and not limiting what I can eat to myself, but how much I will allow myself to eat! (I think that is a very important key to keep in mind when seriously dieting). I will be starting my lifestyle change TODAY!!!! I am hoping to recieve support from all of my family and friends. I am also hoping that my fiance will support me in joining along! We do well with mini competitions and then we reward ourselves in one way or another! I think that my goals are very much realistic and attainable with willpower and strength to get over obstacles that are thrown my way.. and Im sure there will be many.
I am GREATLY looking foward to talking to and sharing stories of success and hard times with all of you!
