Hi all,

I have read others' success stories and everytime I'm in awe of the person and so inspired, wishing I could do it too. So I decided to start my own diary, and hopefully, one day, my story too would motivate others to lose weight.

I started at around 170 pounds but that was more than a year ago. I joined a gym and slowly lost around 20 pounds, but I wasnt very careful with my diet, nor was I totally committed. I would set goals in my head and watch the milestones come and go, not having reached my weight loss. So this time I decided to put it down in writing for everyone to see. if that doesnt keep me accountable, what will!!

So here it goes....

Height - 5' 4"
Current Weight - 151 pounds
Goal Weight - 130 pounds
Game Plan - Workout for an hour for atleast 5 days of the week.

Here is a pic of me at my current weight... u can see, Abs are my biggest problem area. I also have a ton of flab in my arms and inner thighs...
 
Went for the Body Pump class in the gym. Boy do I feel like a wimp with my 5 pound weights on the bar... most people have like 15... but I got through the whole 1 hour workout... my shoulders are very angry with me (those are the toughest for me)

So far been good this week, worked out mon, tue and wed... today is rest day... (need it... sore everywhere!)

U know how people think that if u are vegetarian, u must be eating healthy.... Not for me... i mean i try to... but all these temptations... i CAN'T resist chocolate or anything chocolaty... U know that Simply Enjoy Tiramisu in the frozen section... i just LOOOVE it....:drooling: (and hate myself for giving in later)....OK, not the time to think about that. For now i shall have strawberries with some dark choc in my ultra weak moments... good thing is...when i workout regularly, i usually dont have a problem controlling my diet... i eat healthy then... its only when i fall off the bandwagon, its like a double hit! So I guess one rule for me... GET THY ASS TO THE GYM
 
Hi, I was just stopping by.

I do the samethine. When I go to gym I eat healthy and if I don't I will eat ANYTHING and EVERYTHING. I want want to go to gym everyday but feel so LAZY....lol..

Yeah when I am working out regularly... dont wanna let all the good work go to waste... so i watch what i eat... and guess u do too... like i said... MUST go to the gym...

I aim to go atleast 5 times a week... what about u? We can keep each other on track :)
 
I am aiming to go 5 days a week as well. This was was my first week at the gym. I went only 2 days. I will go today, tomorrow and saturday to make up for the day missed!..

Sure we can keep in track. Are you going today? I have a journal here as well.. Some where in the 2nd or 3rd page.....lol...

Your gameplan sounds awesome! Thats how I lost most of my weight was from doing an hour of workouts 5-6x/week. If you cant make it to the gym on certain days, I definitly recommend to pick up the 30 day shred by Jillian Michaels... its an amazing 20 min workout and it kicks your butt... :)
Best of luck on your weight loss goals! I know youll get to your goal weight in no time, if you stay motivated! :)

GET THY ASS TO THE GYM

Definitely words to live by!
It's a simple matter of will power!
You actually have a really lovely figure. But I know how you feel about
wanting to tone up. I'd absolutely love to feel like I haven't got bat wings
wobbling around under my arms. And if I could poke my tummy and it could
ripple like 50% less than it does now that would be a win :)

Sounds like you've got your head screwed on straight about it all!
So good luck! One pointer - sometimes working with weights you have to
listen to your body and give it a break when you feel sore. I tried to
do 4 classes a week in my first week of starting weights for the first time
and I blew out because my muscles needed to start really really slowly.
It's different for everyone but I'm sure you'll be practical about it!

Thanks for posting!
Ohhh I have the 30 day shred... its fantastic...I love/hate Jillian.. I have her newer ones too.. the No more trouble zones and Banish Fat boost metabolism... amazing workouts... I'm always dripping in sweat everytime I do them...so much that i get sweat in my eyes...and then it stings.... but feel so so good later on!
How are you working out these days? We have the same goal weight... 130...here we come!

awww... thanks... no one has ever said that to me before :blush5:... u made my day! and LOL i totally agree with the 50 % less ripple part... i went to the Zumba class recently... its like a latin dance/aerobics class at the gym...so naturally a lot of shaking... and i felt jiggle everywhere...

Now for a confession...
Yesterday was my rest day, actually went to watch Legg Mason tennis tournament with my husband and some friends... was a lot of fun... but also sadly... since i was there from like 6pm to 11pm I had to eat...and hardly anything vegetarian.. i had to give in to fries....and....a strawberry nutella crepe.... (verdict: GUILTY)... but in my defence, the tournament was a last min decision, so i was caught unprepared and we went straight from work... i had to eat something! I'll shake EXTRA HARD at Zumba today, promise!
 
didnt get a chance to update on the weekend...
So I went to the gym on friday, and did HIIT on the treadmill... and then Saturday worked out at home and did Jillian Michael's No More Trouble Zones... my whole body was like jelly after that.... took the day off on Sunday (although a whole day of household chores can hardly be called a day off).
So not too bad for a weekend... stomach hurts today cos of the period... so gonna rest today... Back in action tomm..

but was it a feeling-kinda-sexy jiggle? I imagine latin dance would make you feel good about getting groovy!
oh you're so brave, I can't exercise when I have my period at all! too much cramping plus low iron levels = grumpy face! good on you! and don't feel bad about what you ate at the tournament or about taking days off! think of those days as a bit of exercise for your soul instead :D
