Need to lose weight fast...

Hello, this is my first time on this forum, but I am here for a very important reason...I need to lose weight, and fast.

I currently am about 6' 3 and 240 and I need to get down to 190 (50 lbs) in 2 months for a Boyscout 2 week long canoeing trip up in canada. I have already paid the non-refundable price for it and we just recently found out that there are weight limits based on age and height to ensure that the person will be fit enough to go on this trip.

So, in summary:

I am 15, 6'3, 240 lbs and I need to lose 50lbs in 2 months...does anyone have any help for me? I have an EXTREMELY limited budget, so please keep that in mind.

Sorry man, but all I can say is good luck.

you're talking about 6.25lbs/wk. That's too much to shoot for.

dang...well, do you have any advice? I would at least like to try. Believe me, I do NOT want to just throw away the $1200 I have already paid for on this...

First, read my response in this thread:

You need to make sure your diet is in order to start trying to lose weight. If you've been chronically undereating, your metabolism is slowed.

You need to eat every 2-3 hours.

Thank you for your help. So basically what I gathered is that I need to balance what I eat based on the number of calories I should be eating per day based on the calorie calculator, and do cardio quite frequently to get the fat burning started. But most importantly I need to balance my diet with a 40/30/30 ratio of protein, carbs, and fat. And an ideal weight loss goal is only 2 lbs per week.

Thank you for your help, and anybody else with any suggestions, don't hesitate to put in your 2 cents.

yes. theres no miracle cure to obesity, u need to workout / & eat right
its a lifetime journey,

IT IS NOT REALISTIC 2 think u can lose that much weight in so low amount of time...

Claim ignorance, tell them your height and weight and see if they'll let you still go. If they say no, then ask for your money back. I mean, this is America - be forceful, call them a scam, then threaten to sue if all else fails. You are a minor, so any contracts you signed can be completely voided. I know I sound like some typical "sue em'" American, but you're in between a rock and a hard place. I hate to sound discouraging - but you're not gonna lose 50lbs in two months short of almost killing yourself.
