Need To Improve My Workout Routine

Alright so I've been working out for a solid month, month and a half now and i think it's time to step up my workout routine. Im starting to get more seriouse about developing lean mass. I usually work out in my basement (we have a universal gym) and this is the routine ive been following;

Vertical Chest Press 10x3
Pec Contractor 10x3
Shoulder Press 10x3
Curls 10x3/arm
Crunches 20x3

I am finding that this routine normally takes me about 30-45 mins on average. I also find that this workout does not entirely fatigue my muscles it feels like i could be working more muscles and harder, what do you guys think?
 
PS I am recieving a membership to a local gym and would like to know what kind of routine i should try? and that routine previously posted is done every other day with 60 crunches on offdays.
 
no offence, but that routine is not any good at all.
Do you want to continue with fullbody training? if so, fullbody 3 times a week is good. and dont train your abs everyday, they need recovery time too!

a fullbody could consist of
Squat,
Row/pullups
Bench press
Overhead press

and on one of the days of the week, do deadlift instead of squats. Those are all compound movements which will make you grow, you could add maybe a coupple of isolation moves at the end of the workout along with abs if you want.
But we need to know your goals, do you only want size? do you want strenght? etc..
 
Yea sorry I missed some information, im 17 yo, 160 lbs and 5"9 and im looking to develope lean mass, im currently on no supplements but will soon be on a protien shake.
 
i would recommend 3 days a week, full body, atleast to begin with. then after a while if you want you can move on to a push/pull or upper/lower.
 
i echo Karky's thoughts. go to full body's until you get some balance between upper and lower body, as well as a stronger core. then move to an intermediate split after several months.
 
yeah, milk the fullbody, change it up when it stops to show results, milk it for all its worth, and then go on to a different split, do the same.. so on :p

You only do your chest, anterior deltoid, biceps, and abs. Where are your back, triceps, lateral+posterior deltoids, upper traps, glutes, thighs, hams, calves, forearms, soleus, obliques, serratus anterior, infraspinatus, neck, head, eyeballs, tongue, ears, nose, balls, *****, pubes... etc???

okay the last 20 muscles i listed may have been unnecessary, but your workout is focusing on just chest and abs mostly.

Most of your posts offer no useful information, but just saying that something isnt great. Do you know anything besides that hes not working his full body? What site did you look up that list of muscles because you probably dont know what half of them are. If I was a mod I would ban you for taking up space.

buddy trust me i know what EACH and every one of those muscles are and what they do I've studied through that website exercise.com or watever it a LOT.

He didn't like the Jews and what they were, so he tried to EXTERMINATE them off the face of the earth. Kinda like banning a person from a forum, but A LOT MORE EXTREME.

I dont trust anything you say because everything that is written is pointless. You're quick to say something sucks, but offer no advice as to how to correct it. You call people idiots but offer no way to educate them. You came here with the same questions and routines as most of these noobies, now you think you're some kind of expert? Why dont you point them in the direction you took to help them out? Won an argument, I didnt know we were arguing. I would ban you because I can go through your last posts and see that it is nothing useful, but bashing and calling people stupid.
 
i have to agree with tony here. I reacted when i saw him Bashing the routine too, i made the same observationes as Azn did, but instead of making fun of it, just try to help the guy out! What you said Azn, could have offended him, its not his fault that he doesnt know the world about weight training yet, he came here to learn as most of us did.
