Hi my name is Nathaniel I'm 23 and I weigh about 370 lbs. I have always been a big guy but it has gotten way out of control and I absolutely hate the way I look and am absolutely discussed with how I look and want to change that and will change that for my little girl my biggest fear is not being here to see her grow up in here for any advice or tips and we'll just good people to talk to while I improve my health because I have no support system here at home

Hey Nathaniel, welcome to the forum! Kudos to you for wanting the best for your daughter (may I ask how old she is?) and realizing you being healthy and happy plays a big role in that. Doing it now (instead of putting it off another ten years, when the shit will really be hitting the fan) is hard enough, but at your age you can absolutely do it. What´s your plan for the moment? Do you have easy access to healthy food and ways to exercise? A healthy diet is the number one factor in losing weight but working out really helps to combat the (health) risk factors caused by being overweight.
Good luck on your journey, I will be looking forward to reading about your progress!

Thank you my daughter is will be 2 in March and as far as my plan well Iv been walking about 45 minutes every morning at 5:30 and try to stay busy during most of the day so I don't eat as much and lift weights at about 4:30 as far as a diet that's slowly coming along a slow start is better than no start I suppose

Welcome and good luck Nathaniel!

A guy at my office hit 500 lbs. He was able to drop over 150 lbs doing cardio, eventually completing a baby triathlon. I can't imagine how difficult your journey must be, but I've seen people do it and I believe you can do it too. Good luck!

Yep, in fact it´s a whole lot better! It means you´ll be able to play active games with your daughter as she grows up, plus she´ll be really proud when she gets to an age where she´ll look at old pictures and see how much you´ve changed. I think you´re off to a great start; the advantage of starting at a high weight is that small changes can really have a big effect. I´m going to recommend MrVee´s diary here (again), skimming over his entire journey is a good way to strengthen the resolve when temptation hits.

Well life is looking up I know its only been a few days but the change in my activity has really made me feel better I jogged this morning ate lite at breakfast cleaned up the house had a job interview that went great at 2 hope I get it and gonna lift at 5:30 and if I still have energy jog again I actually want to keep going and finally change thank you for the support I'm happy I joined

That´s great! Fingers crossed for the job interview, of course, but all the other things are at least equally important.

First of all, welcome to the forum.

Secondly, from what you've said already it seems like you're off to a good start so good for you, man. The first few steps are ALWAYS the hardest.

Lastly, why do you say you have no support system at home? I don't want to assume anything about your life so I won't even guess, but why don't you get support at home?

Anyway, you have a support system HERE. You always will, no matter what goes on at home. Ok? We're all here to only get support, but give support as well.
