need some help

hi guy me robert ok you guys started to scare me with the weight training thing and one guys told me it's pointless at my age so i want to start body weight exerxise's like push-ups,pull-up ect and but i have no clue how to do them like how many sets,reps and how many time a week please help thanks.
 
i dunno, i began lifting when my friend introduce me to the "dumb bell" and he let me barrow one for 1 month. And that was like 3-4 years ago i was like 13 or 14 years old.

I think you can lift weights but if you prefer to do body excercises that's your choice. Just do them whenever, just not when you're sore.

So you're thinking weight lifting is higher than body weight excercises? aren't they almost the same? you lift your body weight. and in weight lifting you can choose how much you want to lift. Im sure it's safe for you to lift. Choose a weight you're comfotable with.
