need imput please

I recently saw a home gym mutli station - Competitor Home Gym with 100 lb. Weight Stack.

I have been comparing it and it's features against other similar items and I decided to get outside input.

PROs:has pretty much everything I want.(for my needs)
I'm not trying to bulk up, I won't need more than 100 lbs,
I would not have to buy additional bars and pulleys to do a decent workout right away and the price seems decent. ($194)

CONS: it's going to take up space .
And I looked at one of these set assembled, and the first thing that caught my eye was that the "cords" (whatever connects the pulleys & to the weights seems like it might not be that strong.)
that's just based on my opinion, I really don't know if that's the case.
And I would have preferred a leg curl that I could do laying down, but thats not a big deal.

I compared it to the Weider 8510 Home Gym ($249) and it has the same features pretty much except that the competitor model looks like it has a padded shelf for preacher curls which weider does not.

I dont know if you could add any accessories to competitor ; Im sure you could to weider. I don't know how long this item would last; weider seems to last.

anyay does anyone have any input on things I might not have considered?
or do you know anyone who has had any experience with this item.?Link below to the item.

I'm interested in something reasonablly affordable that would let me work all body parts at home, and that might last at least 2 years.

I got one of these a month ago and it is great. I have a large weight lifting machine , and this gives me as good a workout.

weider total body 5000

Sports Authority near me is out of them or I'd go look at one.
(I can order one online but I have questions)
Can you answer some questions for me ?

1) does Weider total body 5000 come with cables & pulleys
mentioned in descriptions ?
Does it come with any resistant bands ?
Are there any accessories you can buy for it?

3) is this similar to total gym or is it a stationary incline bench with pulleys
you can use for upper body, back & arms?

does the part your back rests against slide up
& down and you hold onto to some part of it to do
a simplified squat?

can you do pull downs?

4) does it come with a chart showing exercises you
can do on it? I called iconfitness - they were vague.

I downloaded manual & it only has instructions
on how to put it together.

All help appreciated,
lin

They don't carry them in the stores, you have to buy them online.

No, you don't need any.

Yes, it is just like the total gym

& down and you hold onto to some part of it to do
a simplified squat?
Yes

can you do pull downs?
Yes

Yes, but there are others you can download that are better and print from the internet. Here's some that I downloaded.

on how to put it together. There is nothing to putting it together. Takes about one minute.

You will truly like this machine and for the price I feel it is the best fitness value I have ever purchased.

thanks & a last question

Thanks for input. One last question.

I also wanted an UPRIGHT BIKE and the Universal 600 Upright Bike
just got reduced to $229.

I love the Life cycle at the gym but alas, thats out of my price range.
The INDOOR CYCLING Bikes I have seen & prefer are also kind of pricey,
[the MULTISPORTS ENDURO, MOHAWK, SCHWINN IC EVOLUTION ]

I don't want to hook my bike up to a trainer, & I dont like fan bikes.

LOOKING FOR DURABLE, LOW MAINTENACE BIKE, something I can warm up on or ride 45 minutes sometimes.
I have a very expensive treadmill, which needs a service call,
and sometimes I just prefer the bike as a warmup.

SchwinnAirdyne

thanks for all your help.
I don't know if I can spend $600 for a SchwinnAirdyne right now, but appreciate the input.

Pay more money up front and get a quality piece of machinery now - rather than having to pay more for servicing a few months/years from now.

bayoufitness.com chart

Hi
thansk for the link to bayou for the exercises you can do on the weider 5000.
I was wondering, do you think it's possible to use the Dual Leg Cuff TT-2500 Frame with the weider total body 5000? or any of the leg cuffs on their page?

I bought a pair of ankle straps from Dicks Sporting Goods and I do leg curls and extentions with them. They work great.

There are better options, like the Hoist V2.

It's not in his price range
