Why do you want to lose weight? Uncomfortable being overweight
Do you want to lose weight for a specific life event such as wedding or reunion? If so, when is that event? A trip to Miami in March 2012
What obstacles could get between you and your weight loss goals? Poor eating, binge eating
Why do you think that you now have a weight problem? I've let myself go and gain back 15 of the pounds I've lost. I havent been focused and I'm seeing the effects of that now in my clothes and the mirror. I'm embarrassed to have let this happen.
What lifestyle changes do you think would help you lose weight? I know from past experience that closely monitoring my calorie intake WILL make me lose weight
Have you lost weight in the past? If so, what has worked in the past to help you lose weight? Counting calories and occassionaly exercise
Why do you believe that you did not lose weight or you gained the weight back? Losing weight is tough and so is following a strict diet. My social life suffers in some ways. I can't go out to eat and I refrain from drinking too much even though that's an every weekend type thing for my friends and I. (I'm in my early 20s) I need to find balance. I stopped caring and just enjoyed myself going out to eat and on dates and to bars and clubs and the weight crept back on. Now I dont even want to do those things because I'm uncomfortable with how I look. it's such a vicious cycle.
Do you eat when you are not hungry? Yes
Do you binge eat (large amounts at a time)? Yes. Definitely an issue.
Do you hide your food or eat in secret? I do like to eat alone, actually. Jesus, I'm looking like a headcase now
Do you eat when you are sad, nervous, or depressed? Yes.
Do you eat as a reward? No, I drink as a reward which isn't much better (LOL)
Do you eat while watching TV or using the computer? Yes, always eat watching tv
Basically, I've just reached my breaking point. As I was driving to work the other morning, I had a terrifying thought. I've just been so consumed with my failure to keep the weight off and feeling self conscious about everyone noticing that I've gained some back. I skidded a little in the rain and for the rest of my drive I thought to myself "It wouldn't be so bad if I died" That's how much the pressure is weighing on me and I understand it sounds completely insane and out of control. It's nothing I'd care to share with friends or family so maybe an anonymous group will help. I'm back on track but I need to stay on track, for my sanity. Id appreciate any help, advice, or similar stories.
