So I'm looking to put myself on a workout schedule. I've done moderate weightlifting before, but never really on a schedule. I'm pretty familiar with all the different workouts though.
My goals are pretty simple, to just build overall strength. I'm about 140 lbs, around 5'9", 16 years old. I couldnt tell you my body fat percentage for sure, but its fairly low I think, since I do a fair bit of running. Right now I'm gonna start my first serious attempt to gain weight, but I need to know that I'm going at it the right way. I can't really put on too much fat, since I need to be able to run cross country in the fall, but I'm skinny and have a high metabolism so it shouldn't really be a problem.
I do have access to a gym, but with baseball and school I don't have a lot of spare time so hopefully you all can help me figure out the best way to make use of my time. I recently upped my calorie intake and water consumption based on what I read around here, as well as adding some compounds to my workout that I'd been lacking before, like deadlifts, military presses, and dips.
So any tips, or suggestions, or giant holes you see in my schedule are welcome.
Thanks a bunch
