As a teen, it is most important for you to be healthy, which includes maintaining the appropriate weight and exercising, among other things. You can do many exercises at home that are easy and can help you lose weight.
The key is to do high-calorie-burning exercises and total body strengthening. Increasing lean muscle will raise your metabolism so that you burn more calories just resting. Just read out couple of my recommendations:
• Jumping rope and jumping jacks aren't just for kids. They are two of the highest calorie-burning exercises you can do at home. Doing them slowly, for an hour will burn about 563 calories, for a person weighing 155 lbs.
• If done faster for an hour, the same person would burn about 844 calories. You don't have to do this all at one time. You could break it up into at least 10-minute increments. You can lose from 1 to 2 lbs. a week, doing this exercise every day.
• A stationary bike can be a little costly, but is a high-calorie-burning exercise for a teen to do at home. If you have a bicycle already, you could buy a converter that turns it into a stationary bike for home-exercise use.
• Riding a stationary bike vigorously, for an hour can burn 739 calories, for a person weighing 155 lbs. You can lose about 1.5 lbs. per week doing this exercise.
• Step aerobics is another exercise you can do at home that burns a lot of calories. This one requires a bit more coordination and rhythm than jumping rope or cycling, but a challenge can keep your workout from getting boring.
• For a 155-lb. person, doing an hour of this exercise would burn about 744 calories, which is almost a 1.5-lb. a week weight loss. You can increase the intensity and calories burned by making your step higher.
• Vinyasa yoga is high-calorie-burning and strengthening. It builds lean muscle-mass throughout almost your entire body. Doing an hour of this type of yoga, a person weighing 155 lbs. can burn 614 calories. This equals a little more than a pound a week in weight loss if it is being done every day. If you haven't done this type of exercise before, rent a DVD and try to do it in front of a mirror to achieve proper form for maximum benefit.
Lastly if you want to gain muscle then you need to do some intense exercise occasionally. I recommend 3 times a week. Each session supposed to be 15-20 minutes for per day.
Hope so it would help you.
